You know what? Reading the paper this morning, Darnell is hitting .250 over the past week. While hitting him this high in the order is a head-scratcher(except against Price), I think I and a lot of other people jumped the gun on him. He's a capable defender and I'll take a .250 bat off the bench. Maybe he just needed some time to find himself after coming off the DL.

The whole crap about our rotation being injury ridden is overrated. Beckett's getting pulled was just a precautionary move and Lester's injury isn't serious. Buch's gotten good new on his back as well and should be starting a rehab stint soon. While I do think another pitcher could help, we're not in as dire straits as some people seem to think.

Lackey I'm not worried about (crazy as that seems) but we really do need Clay back.

He still needs a lot of work. I really don't know if I'm super happy about him anchoring the back half of our pitching staff. He's shown improvement, he's been a lot better this time around than his previous stints in the majors but when Clay comes back I say send him back down to get more work done. Maybe add another pitcher if someone's available because I don't trust Wakefield either.

This guy has so much talent and potential, he just needs to learn to throw strikes. It's frustrating. He's been solid so far for a tail end of the rotation guy but he could be so much more.
