    I'd say your patients have far more issues than he does. Namely that their doc is a senile old wack job whose sole source of enjoyment in life is being an annoying waste of space on an internet forum for a team whose fan base wishes the worst of misfortunes on his own team and vice versa.

    The way I see it, after 2004, there isn't a damn thing this team can't pull off. I know the roster has changed a ton but they still have the talent and still have a knack for bouncing back from these kinds of stretches. Far more crazy things have happened than the idea of this team pulling it together to win the World Series.

    1 year, we signed him for 7. This is the 1st time he's struggled like this in his career, be patient.

    Simple fact is that he just flat out got tired. Despite that 3 plus ERA, he's been nothing but lights out this year save for September. You add the already worked bullpen with the loss of Bedard and Beckett along with Buchholz's prolonged absence and the recent issues of Lackey and Miller and you're looking at a bullpen that's gonna crash. If Beckett, Lester, Buch, and Bedard are able to contribute in the postseason, I still trust our bullpen to shut people down, hopefully they'll have had some rest come the start of October.

    Damn, 18 runs. This could very well be the start of a nice winning streak. I know we're scuffling, but there is nothing that says this team can't make the playoffs and go all the way once they get there. Far shittier teams than the 2011 Red Sox have limped into the postseason and gone all the way to win the series. Sure it isn't guaranteed to happen, it never is, but you gotta believe.
