  1. You got lucky Doubront. You better settle in
  2. Walks for pitchers and strikeouts for hitters are beyond infuriating. The Sox pitchers have the most walks in the MLB, and the Sox hitters have the 3rd most K's in the MLB. This team is winning and that's all fine and good but this team is infuriating to watch a lot of times.
  3. And, turning this piece of s*** game off.
  4. Papelbon: 3 Blown Saves this month. Bailey: 3 Blown Saves this month. Just sayin....
  5. Allen Webster still in line to make his next start on Saturday according to Farrell. RDLR threw 6 innings of 1 hit, no walk baseball last night, striking out 7 and not allowing a run. The problem is that he only threw 63 pitches, and he had to be pulled because relief ace Clayton Mortenson just had to get his two innings in last night. Because RDLR only threw 63 pitches last outing (he got up to 90 in his previous outing), he's likely not going to get called up to take the Saturday start, as he didn't get to build his pitch count and asking him to throw 100 pitches wouldn't be good for him. Thanks, Mortenson. Gotta make sure that mop up guy gets his innings, even if it puts us in a worse position this weekend against a divisional opponent.
  6. Farrell said Webster is still in line for his next start on Saturday vs TOR. I guess 21 swing and misses will do that.
  7. I agree, I think he will get the next start.
  8. Nobody is trying to justify his outing as good. He had a bad outing, but his stuff is absolutely outrageous. He needs to work on throwing strike one, and then his stuff will play better. The entire argument is about what we can expect in the future from this guy, which is a very good pitcher with some excellent peak years.
  9. RDLR tonight in Pawtucket: 6 IP, 7 K, 0 BB, 1 H, 0 R
  10. Comerica is a joke of a park. 420 to CF for a 100 foot stretch is ridiculous
  11. That ball was at Pedroias eyes.
  12. If it was that easy they wouldn't swing at it. It's got a ton of break, and it's really hard to lay off. Plus he can pound the fastball like he did against Peralta
  13. I'm telling you, those first inning jitters killed him. Along with two well placed grounders. Regardless, when he's settled down, he's a very good pitcher
  14. They block out like every game w a start time from 1:35 to 7:05 and all Fox Saturday games, even if its not on your Fox channel. I believe this has changed for 2014
  15. Offense has certainly gone real quiet real fast.
  16. Better inning. Build on it. Wouldn't surprise me if he held them down the rest of the game.
  17. Webster is a much better pitcher than he's shown in the past two outings. He's got some jitters to be certain, but he'll settle down. He got like, what, 9 swing and misses in the first inning alone?? That's outrageous. Give him a chance to settle down and get the nerves out before we say he's not ready
  18. Jackson and Hunter hit bitch hit grounders. The only hard hit ball was Victors homerun
  19. Just awful. Webster is a better pitcher than this.
  20. Nice work. Get that GIDP here
  21. Yikes. Webster really struggles with his control badly.
