  3. Definitely. They're just a tick away from blowing it up.
  4. If Salty plays in place of Varitek (Salty has no AB's vs Talbot), our average bumps to .450, and our SLG% to .900.
  5. Given, the Sox have only faced Talbot 1 time, but here is how our current team we're putting out there tonight does vs Talbot. Ellsbury: 1 for 1, HR Pedroia: 3 for 5 Crawford: 0 for 3 Gonzalez: 0 for 0 Youkilis: 2 for 4, HR, 2B Ortiz: 1 for 4, 2B Drew: 0 for 0, 2 BB Varitek: 0 for 2 Scutaro: 2 for 3, 2B The team that we have going against Talbot hits .409 against him with a SLG% of .818.
  6. DiceK line: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 7 K, 2 BB. Sox win, 7-2. After tonights win, everyone relaxes, and we rattle off 12 of our next 14.
  7. Hell if we're going to have a SS that's going to hit .250, lets call up Iggy. At least he can handle the leather.
  8. Good Lord Scutaro. Can you suck any f***ing worse?? Get an average you bum!
  9. 1 run was never going to beat anyone, especially not in the AL. Need our offense to get it going.
  10. 93 mph in 35 degrees = 96 mph in 75 degrees
  11. Yeah and I was just thinking the same thing. Probably just this game though due to lack of traffic for this game. Only Sox fans watching, usually you have fans for 2 teams watching the game.
  12. Everyone on that field is probably hoping that's the case. Freezing out there right now.
  13. @Jackso - A hit is a hit and getting the first one out of your system will relax him at the plate. Maybe he won't swing at everything now (talking about Salty, late response I know) Anyway - I 100% agree with sending Drew there. If Choo makes a throw up the line at all or not right on target, Drew scores. Choo making a bad throw is much more likely than Scutaro getting a hit.
  14. Hey Bogar. Guess what. Choo has a good arm. Although I send him there too.
  15. That ball was hit 5X harder than Murphy's HR. Freaking Texas. I hate that place.
  16. If THAT didn't go out, NOTHING's going out tonight
  17. THANK YOU!!! By saying you "could care less" you are saying you care a little bit. And that's not much of an insult.
  18. Personally, I'm terrified of the line up that Beckett posted a 1.13 ERA against in the worst season of his career.
  19. These are the games that our team is built to absolutely beat the s*** out of. The 4th and 5th starters, mediocre starters that we should just crush and give our pitcher a lot of padding to work with.
  20. I originally liked Craw 3 and Pedey 2. But thinking more about it - I really like this line up. First off, you're going to see very few double plays in the first inning with Ells and Craw hitting back to back. Also, when Ells or Craw is on base, Pedey is going to get fed fastball after fastball and he's going to absolutely mash those. Not to mention the huge hole on the right side of the infield that is left by the first baseman holding on the runner paired with the 2nd baseman having to cheat to cover the bag on a steal. I know he gets a lot of that with Ellsbury 1 and Pedey 2, but with Ells 1, Craw 2, Pedey 3, his chances of seeing those situations rises.
  21. Two things - First off, I think Beckett is going to mow down the Cleveland line up tonight. I'm sure he's just as frustrated as everyone else on the team about getting swept. Which brings me to my next point - I can see a lot of frustration being let out tonight by the offense. A 10+ run performance by the Sox wouldn't raise an eyebrow for me. Not after the embarrassment we had in Texas.
  22. Line up is out. Ellsbury Crawford Pedroia Gonzalez Youkilis Ortiz Drew Salty Scutaro Couple things - I thought Tek would be catching today for Beckett, and also I like Pedey hitting 3rd. You get Ells or Craw on base, all of a sudden Pedroia gets fed fastball after fastball, and he crushes those. I like this line up.
  23. Lets table the pitching comparison to the ASB.
