  1. Oh my Gosh. I've never seen a team hit so many balls RIGHT ON THE SCREWS and have nothing to show for it!! I mean it's just pure s***
  2. I swear. One of these days all of these bullets are going to find holes.
  3. Shades of 2010 Darnell! Wait. That wasn't that long ago.
  4. ....or lack thereof....anyone? anyone??
  5. Lowrie now hitting .462 but somehow not starting over a guy hitting .185 during a 2-8 season. :dunno:
  6. Lester had to throw 7 extra pitches thanks to that bum of an ump who doesn't know what a strike is. Freaking ridiculous.
  7. Lets go boys!!!!
  8. I'll break his legs for a bag of seeds.
  9. I guess Tito took a page out of Maddon's book and said "Apparently the shittier the line up, the better the team".
  10. 1. Carl Crawford, LF 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B 4. Kevin Youkilis, DH 5. Jed Lowrie, 3B 6. Mike Cameron, CF 7. Jason Varitek, C 8. Darnell McDonald, RF 9. Marco Scutaro, SS Oh man. This is a scary line up. I'm so glad we're sitting Ortiz (.429 vs LHP this year) and JD Drew (.400 vs LHP this year) and playing Scutaro (.167 vs LHP). I'd hate it if we actually put a line up out there that was heating up. God I love this season.
  11. I know it's early and all, but when we have a team hitting .237/.330/.347, why in the f*** are we sitting a guy hitting .417 with a .917 OPS so that a guy hitting .185 with an OPS of .489. Yes. I'm talking about Lowrie vs Scutaro. And yes, Lowrie has as many hits in 12 at bats as Scutaro has in 27 at bats. It's beyond ridiculous. How about trying to play someone who is tearing the cover off the ball right now rather than waiting for your sub-par shorstop to warm up?
  12. You think he'll regress more than his FIP even attributed? I don't think he'll be the same as last year, but I think through the course of the year, his regression will be met with improved control and increased K/9. He should sit around a 3.30 ERA.
  13. Per Gordon Edes, contract includes 2 club options, so a potential 6 year deal.
  14. Great pick up. Ranaudo pitched his first game, 5 innings, 0 ER in Low A ball today. Hopefully he will develop into a stud. Lester Buch Ranaudo would be a sick top 3 if Ranaudo can develop into a Buch or Lester-type pitcher.
  15. Aww. Of course. We have 2 arms that haven't allowed an ER, and one of them goes down.
  16. PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Pawtucket Red Sox pitcher Alfredo Aceves has been scratched from Thursday night’s start and it’s likely he’s been recalled by the Red Sox. The right-hander was in the Pawtucket clubhouse this afternoon, preparing to make his start. Approximately 35 minutes before first pitch, it was announced he would not pitch and was replaced by Scott Atchison. Aceves was one of the last players cut at the end of spring training. He appeared in five exhibition games during the spring, posting a 0-1 record with a 4.05 ERA. After spending the past three seasons with the New York Yankees, posting a 14-1 record with a 3.21 ERA in 59 games, he dealt with injuries last season and did not re-sign with the Yankees. “So far so good,” Aceves said of his time with the Red Sox. “I’ve come from a rival organization and I was worried about it [when I signed], but after I got to spring training and met all my new teammates, it was different. These guys are awesome and I love it. I’m glad to be here and I’ll work hard.” He signed with the Red Sox as a free agent on Feb. 9.
  17. I mean seriously. This is beyond ridiculous.
  18. Never. Give. Up. Lets go boys. Put up 4 or 6 this inning.
  19. I thought the Red Sox were supposed to be good this year?
  20. Oh my God. One f***ing strike. Go play somewhere else you f***ing fat bum.
  21. Reyes is ALL OVER THE PLACE
  22. Hey Scutaro. Why even bring the bat with you. It's a lot easier to strike out looking without that huge chunk of wood on your shoulder.
  23. This team is a complete and utter embarrassment right now.
