    Middlebrooks might need a day. He's been struggling a bit. May be a good idea to give Bogaerts a start at 3B in the upcoming Orioles series.

    The Sox pitching has absolutely showed up to this series so far. And this is a huge series. The Dodgers are the team to beat in the NL, no doubt, and I know that we didn't face Kershaw or Grienke, but that doesn't have anything to do with their offense. And as it stands, their offense has scored a grand total of 5 runs in 2 games and 7 innings. Not to mention our starters have gone at least 7.1 in every start this series (assuming Peavy gets an out in the 8th). Overall, a damn good job by our pitchers.

    Just an observation: Player A, 19 Years Old: 25 Starts between A and AA, 12.0 K.9, 4.9 BB.9, 2.95 ERA Player B, 20 Years Old: 24 Starts between A and AA, 11.6 K.9, 4.8 BB.9, 2.71 ERA Player A is Clayton Kershaw Player B is Henry Owens, Red Sox prospect.

    1 tomorrow @ KC 1 on 9/16 vs TEX 1 on 9/23 vs BAL 1 on 9/26 @ NYY The Rays play 34 games in the next 35 days. Of those 34 games, 20 are away, 14 are at home. That includes a 10-game west coast trip which starts next weekend.

    Christian Vazquez, who is a ridiculous defensive catcher, is hitting .289/.374/.397 in Portland right now. He's got 43 BB and 41 K's. May not get a ton of pop out of him, but he throws out 45% of base stealers, takes a lot of walks, and rarely strikes out. If he can be a .350-.360 OBP guy at the MLB level and control the running game, that would be a huge addition.

    Really? Everything I've read said it is exceptional. Well maybe you're right, and if so, that makes it a bit easier to justify a transition into the OF, perhaps LF.

    Beat me to it. Talk about a break out season. .306/.410/.503 between A and A+. 15 HR, 35 SB, and did I mention he's younger than Bogaerts? Given, he's in high A ball, but he reminds me a lot of Brandon Phillips. Good pop, good speed, excellent defense. He is a 2B but who knows if he will move off of that position, with Pedey locked up. Maybe a corner OF or maybe trade bait

    Is he? I mean Lester's got about a 4.00 ERA. He's a downgrade, but I don't think it would be crazy to expect a 4.2 ERA or so from Workman.

    The Sox should try to get Seager from the Dodgers this offseason. I would be happy to go into next season with Buchholz - Peavy - Lackey - Doubront - Workman.

    Great win. I thought we would win 1 and 3 and lose game 2. Looks like I got 1 and 2 mixed up. Go out there and pound Capuano tomorrow and win this series. Dodgers haven't lost a series in 19 series. Put that s*** to an end!!
