  1. what a f***ing retarded end to that inning
  2. Are you kidding me Darnell?? Seriously??!?
  3. Great sign with Miller right here. Comes out and pounds the zone. Gets into a 3-2 count and throws a strike. And all of this while his heart is thumping and his anxiety is about as high as it can be.
  4. It's Miller time. :dunno:
  5. That's right! And Sonny didn't even look good. Grayson better have his s*** together because Vandy struggles vs Florida.
  6. I am absolutely pumped up to see Andrew Miller. From his past few games in AAA, it looks like he's making big strides in the right direction. If he can harness that potential and pump his 97-99 mph fastball with that filthy slider, can you imagine this rotation?!? Beckett - Lester - Buch - Miller - Lackey. He could be an absolutely enormous boost to this clubs rotation. I know scouts compared him to Randy Johnson, and imagining this rotation with Randy Johnson just isn't fair.
  7. Our typical line up of Ells - Pedey - Gonzo - Youk - McDonald - Scutaro - Cam - Salty - Pitcher has a career .345 average against Cliff Lee. Included in that is Adrian Gonzalez, who has absolutely owned Lee (7 for 10 against him). Against Oswalt, we've only got 3 guys on our roster that have faced him (Drew, Cam, and Gonzo), and they are a combined 20 for 65 against him (.308). Worley is a rookie, so we don't have anyone who has faced him. Regardless, I'll pair up Beckett vs Lee all day. Lackey vs Oswalt, they have an edge, although I could see our offense busting that game open. And Lester vs Worley, that's Lester all day unless we have that mysterious spell cast on our offense by rookies again.
  8. I lead that crowd. And for anyone who is interested, Crow is served best with wild rice. Trust me, I've eaten a lot of it this year over Papelbon.
  9. All 3 of our starters this series went 8. That's excellent for our bullpen, and papelbon served his suspension already too. Perfect timing because we wouldn't have ever used him anyway
  10. JD Drew snakebitten today, hit a few absolute bullets and nothing to show for it
  11. That foghorn is absolutely amazing. That needs to be permanently instituted for all home games. Also, nice inning.
  12. Yeah but Gonzo is making $5.5mm this year, and he gets bumped to $21mm next year.
  13. Well that f***ing blows. Offense was completely abysmal tonight, but what the hell can you expect with D-Mac and Cam playing.
  14. Well, if Crawford is going to hit the DL, now is the time to do it. He will be eligible to return Monday, July 3rd, which starts our AL games again. The only series he will miss that is going to be tough would be the Philly series. Besides that, he'll miss the following: Vs. MIL (2 Games) Vs. SD (3 Games) @ PIT (3 Games) @ PHI (3 Games) @ HOU (3 Games) So he'll miss 14 games, assuming he comes back when he's eligible. And of those 15 games, the 2 vs MIL and the 3 @PHI are the only games that are against solid teams.
  15. Crawford's MRI showed a "Grade 1 Hamstring Strain". I didn't know the severity of this, so I looked it up - But Wiki said this -
  16. Damn I didn't realize Sutton is hitting .324 in his limited AB's. Still, you can't ask for anything more than that from him.
  17. Sutton is actually a pretty solid bench player.
  18. Gorgeous play Ells. Dude deserves to be an All Star starter this year. Put Granderson in LF.
  19. Perfect game for Pap to serve game 1 of his suspension.
  20. The trick is to not refresh Talksox until you see something happen. Or else you're going to ruin the surprise everytime.
