    The longer it takes to get any kind of a diagnosis on Lester, the scarier it is. This is not good.

    I would say Lester is sick, but Gordon Edes said Dr Gill is in the clubhouse. The thing is, Lester was throwing a complete gem, he looked better than he has all season. The baseball gods were a day late with the SP injury. We wanted LACKEY hurt, not LESTER. Come on!!

    The Sox need to DL Lackey, because clearly there's something wrong with him. Call up Kyle Weiland. He's got a 3.02 ERA in Pawtucket, he's sporting a 9.7 K/9, and a 1.158 WHIP, not too bad. He's a 24 year old guy who could be a nice asset to our team. Wakefield did well in his initial few starts, but he's gotten torched lately and now has an ERA closing in on 5 (4.84 as a starter). In June and July, he as a 5.50 ERA. We need Buchholz back in the rotation, we need Lackey replaced by Weiland, and we need our 5 man rotation to be Beckett - Lester - Buchholz - Miller - Weiland. I would feel a whole lot better about this team if we had that rotation than if we have Wake and Lackey trotting out there every 5 games.

    So, I've been saying for a while that the Sox always go on streaks, that they seem to always be winning or losing multiple consecutive games. Luckily, I got something right.

    I hope that when the offense rescues Lackey out of this decision, Tito doesnt give him a free pass. He's been terrible this year, and his 7+ era in July is not deserving of a spot in the rotation.

    Why don't we just call the doctor that did Colons surgery and have him plant 'stem cells' in Lackeys elbow? This is freaking embarrassing. That's enough. Lackey won't make another start this year. Call up Kyle Weiland from Pawtucket and give him the starts.

    I'm so glad that we still let Darnell play. Seriously, Francona. It's beyond frustrating/annoying/a joke. When you're playing game 82 and you've got a player hitting .110, guess what. That's who he is. Stop "trying to get him going". He's not "going to get going" because he sucks. Put Reddick in and ride the hot streak.

    Anyone else glued to the tv everytime Miller is on the bump? I know he's only throwing in his 3rd game right now, but from what I've seen, this kid may be the real deal. If he continues to develop like he has this year, and he harnesses that potential that made him a 6th overall pick, damn, we could be seeing the tip of the iceberg right here. Through 5 IP today, he now has a 2.70 ERA on the season. Keep it up, Miller!

    That strike 2 call on Youk was farther outside and lower than the ball 4 that Miller had called. I hate inconsistent umps.
