  1. How did we not know that putting Wakefield in here in the f***ing 7th wasn't going to blow up in our face? I could have told you that Francona.
  2. How do the ChiSox play us so well??
  3. I'm not saying he's a bad pitcher, but I'm a huge sucker for power pitchers. 97-99 mph gas allows for a lot more mistakes.
  4. Sorry guys, I don't understand the infatuation with Garza. I'd much rather have Jimenez.
  5. oh s*** oh s*** oh s*** oh s*** oh s*** BAIL!!!!!!
  6. Stick around dude. Unless you're going to chew me out for calling the game too early :harhar:
  7. This from the Denver Post: That's what I've heard he attributes to his drop in velocity.
  8. Come on guys. Can't we all just complain about how bad the Sox offense is tongiht?
  9. From what I understand, his velocity is down due to poor offseason training which stems from the CarGo extension that wasn't offered to him. This is probably why he's available right now. A change of scenery could be all he needs to kick it back into gear. Maybe not this year, but over this offseason and well into the next couple years.
  10. Looks like Pence is going to Phillies. With Giants acquiring Beltran, Phils acquiring Pence, we need to acquire Jimenez.
  11. To be fair, Colon hasn't thrown over 100 innings in 5 years, and he can't get off the mound to field a bunt or cover 1st base and Garcia gets torched by teams that can hit. To expect the same kind of production out of Colon and Garcia throughout the remaining 12 starts each is pretty optimistic. Not to mention Hughes...
  12. FWIW, I was laughing at Jackso mentioning that the Yankees answer could be in their rotation right now (Hughes).
  13. Do you know how many days off you get in a post season run? You play about 4 games a week if each series goes to 5/7/7. You're not wearing out your bullpen arms, which means Albers, Aceves, Bard, and Pap will be available virtually every game. Plus Beckett, Lester, and Buchholz all go deep into games. You're not going to need your janitors (i.e. Williams) to come in and try to keep a game close.
  14. Plus Dennys Reyes' stats are still affecting our BP ERA
