    Wow. From here on out, we can play .500 baseball and win 96 games. Remember how everyone on like ESPN was saying 'after their 2-10 start, they have to play .626 baseball to win 96 games! That's a 102 win pace! I just don't know if they can dig themselves out of this hole' Ha. Well how about we just play .680 baseball after our 2-10 start. That's a 110 pace, bitches.

    With a UZR of -10.0 per Fangraphs, Granderson is actually the worst defensive center fielder in the MLB, while Ellsbury's 7.5 UZR ranks 4th best in the MLB.

Stats followed by ranking in AL Ellsbury - Granderson .314 BA (9th) - .275 (35th) .876 OPS (9th) - .949 (4th) 84 R (2nd) - 105 (1st) 150 H (3rd) - 118 (23rd) 31 2B (7th) - 18 (62nd) 19 HR (15th) - 32 (2nd) 72 RBI (12th) - 93 (1st) 31 SB (4th) - 22 (9th) It's really not even close. Ellsbury is a much better and complete player. He's in the top 10 in the AL in all but two major categories. And this doesn't even incorporate his far superior defense.

    I would say that one of the following two is going to happen this weekend. The Yankees, facing Shields, Hellickson, and Price, will drop 2 of 3, or the Sox, with Beckett up against Felix, will sweep the M's.

    Leaving 38 runners LOB over 4 games is absolutely "squandering" opportunities. And a hell of a lot of them at that. Just because we won doesn't mean that we played well, and just because I said we're squandering opportunities doesn't mean I'm panicking by any means.

    Well we should never, ever, ever, ever lose when its Lester vs Blackburn. Maybe a little residual exhaustion from the NYY series this weekend. Got tomorrow off. Yanks have to go face Hellickson, Price, and Shields. We get Seattle. We'll pick this game back up this weekend, maybe even plus 1.
