  1. Wow. Really need a DP ball and then some more offense.
  2. Lets go DP right here. Get out of this NOW!
  3. Man. Buchholz just isn't the same pitcher.
  4. I remember when Buchholz used to sit 93-95.
  5. Buchholz pick off move reminds me of an ugly chick that thinks shes hot because she hangs out with uglier chicks. Buchholz thinks he's got a good move because nobody on the Sox staff has a good move, so he is obsessed with throwing over. Turns out, he's got a complete s*** move to first.
  6. She's got a voice?
  7. He can get through 6 with two 15-pitch innings. No worse than Beckett did last night.
  8. Seriously. I went to The Harp down next to the Garden to watch the B's game, and left after the 2nd period so I could actually catch a cab home, thinking the Sox game would be in the 6th by now. No such luck.
  9. Almost a Sheffield/Youkilis hybrid.
  10. Oye!!!!! Sweeney is in. The original lineup has been changed.
  11. Youk was moved when Sweeney got plugged. V thought we were facing a LHP. Turns out he's a righty. Hence why we have Sweeney and Salty and not Mac and Shop House.
  12. Salty has been absolutely raking lately!! He's 6 for his last 8 w a 1.468 OPS!! Give me that all day!!
  13. Sweeney in, Mac out. Salty in, Shop out. Aviles SS Sweeney RF Pedroia 2B Gonzalez 1B Ortiz DH Youkilis 3B Saltalamacchia C Ross RF Byrd CF Pitching: RHP Clay Buchholz (1-1, 9.00)
  14. + Infinity. That's exactly what it is. I've been saying this the whole time. Overreaction to a small issue. If a player is experiencing an abnormal pain (i.e. Crawford's elbow), and they go to 1 doctor who says "Give it some rest and it'll be fine", you give it rest, then go back for another check up and it's still hurting and the doc says "Still the same thing, just give it rest and you'll be fine", any normal person is going to say "Ehh, I think I'd feel more comfortable if I heard this from someone else as well just to make sure this guy isn't missing something major and I won't do any damage by playing through it".
  15. Oh come on man. Crawford played through a bummed wrist for 3 consecutive years. He rarely goes down with an injury, and always busts it harder than anyone to get back as soon as he can. That's not a fair comment on Crawford.
  16. You were clearing trading with Dojji. You probably could have gotten Halladay too!
  17. I honestly think this is the game where Buch breaks out and throws his first gem of the year. Got an easier lineup to face, this is where he starts to build confidence.
  18. You gotta wonder, what is this guys ceiling?? Can he be Longoria 2.0? The way he's playing right now, it looks like it, but that's an extremely high standard.
  19. That's the same one I was talking about when I posted that just now.
  20. In the "Are you bleeping kidding me" department, Middlebrooks has just homered. Again. That's his 9th this year. He singled in his first plate appearance. Homered in his 2nd plate appearance. Now hitting .392 with a 1.269 OPS.
  21. I agree that they are pampered, but this is also their livelihood and getting a peace of mind about a potential injury, especially after coming off his wrist surgery, seems acceptable. I would say it's just a little strain that needs some down time. It doesn't hurt when he swings, but it hurts when he throws. So I don't think it is anything serious.
  22. Quote from BobbyV yesterday: "He's feeling so good with his hitting and his wrist right now, he doesn't want to have any setbacks," Valentine said (via CSNNE.com). "I think he's getting someone else to confirm that the [elbow] is what we think it is, which is just a little soreness. I'm not going to medically describe what it is."
  23. Per Gordon Edes: Cherington says "likely" Crawford to see Dr James Andrews. Elbow "improving but still sore" All reports that I've read says that the Sox are getting the 2nd opinion to confirm there is nothing serious. I think it's almost an exact replica of the Beckett thumb issue. I still think he's an early to mid-May return.
