    Ah - I haven't paid enough attention to the M's but you're right. He's more of a 1B/DH. Good call. Pick makes sense. Can't believe Appel didn't go to the O's. With Bundy, that could have been a sick 1-2 punch.

    As a big Vandy fan, Zunino is a monster. I am a little surprised that they took a catcher after trading for Montero. Wonder if they will push him to a corner OF slot.

    He looked damn good in Toronto. Turned back into the Buchholz who was a DP machine. He used to be able to get out of jams almost at will by throwing a perfect DP 2-seamer. That's what I saw against TOR last outing.

    And by the way, DiceK catches a lot of s***, and rightfully so. But last season, he started to look good before he got hurt. In his final 5 starts prior to hitting the DL, he was 3-0 with a 3.07 ERA.

    They started horribly, but have rebounded very nicely. Give them time. The start of the season manipulates the total data, so they look much worse than they really are right now.

    So would you say that the Orioles are a 1st place team?? Because going into today's games, they were in 1st place. The Sox may be in last place right now, but that doesn't mean that they are a last place team. It's early and they will rebound from their poor start. It's just like after 4 games, if the Orioles started out 4-0 and the Yankees started 0-4. The Yankees are not a worse team than the Orioles. Just like the Red Sox aren't a worse team than the Blue Jays or Orioles. The top 3 will be the Sox, Rays, and Yanks. If the Sox can keep pitching, they'll score plenty of runs to win a ton of games before the reinforcements come back. Then, once Ells, Crawford, Bailey, and Ross get back, this team will be in great shape and will make the PS this year.

    Ok, I agree that it is time to pull the plug on the Bard experiment. It sounded like you were saying "We're in last place, we're a last place team" which obviously isn't the case.
