    The Tribe have been outscored almost by a 2:1 margin this month, and got outscored last month. Fortunately, they play in the AL Central, but not even that will save them. BTW, I think Pirates are going to finish with a better record than the Tribe.

    The Red Sox strategy has always seemed to be get on base, and have hitters with XBH ability to drive them in. It hasn't been steal bases, and have weak OBP guys batting second. If we did what you wanted, many RBI opportunities simply wouldn't exist for Adrian Gonzalez. He is leading the league in RBI's, and that's mainly due to the ability of the lead guys to get on base. These hypothetical scenarios where Crawford scores on a Gonzalez double are imaginary. His .282 OBP isn't creating any RBI opportunities. Maybe he should get on for Saltalamacchia, before we let him try to get on for Gonzalez.

    Pedroia can score from first on Gonzalez double, and besides the Red Sox have been one of the slower teams of the last decade. Whatever strategy they used seemed to work pretty well.

    He wanted to go to college in 2008, and wanted a big sum to sign. Not many people think he's going to go back to Kentucky for a senior season.

    Shaq is easily a top 10 player of all-time. Dave Cowens? Wes Unseld? Someone definitely has some blind rage against someone they've never met.

    Perkins was useless for OKC, but his departure definitely disrupted team chemistry. Don't know if that would have tipped the series in Boston's favor.

    Crawford got caught stealing for the 4th time this year. That would be a bigger issue if he was doing that in front of Gonzalez/Youkilis/Ortiz. Hypothetically, Crawford getting caught would be a greater impact on runs than base cloggers preventing him from taking a triple.
