I wouldnt jump on him too quick thats like all of us sox fans saying how easy kalish will take over the starting job for drew next year, some have said he could even handle it this year.
Since our offseason seems about complete anyone have any ideas what we do when Dice K leaves after the season don't seem to be any body great coming out of the minors and not sure if we will have the money to sign a big name pitcher.
The only arm i can think of is drubont but it seems like the sox will turn him into a reliever and i dont want to see him turn into joba going back and forth between roles
Someone said a couple days ago about a possible trade to the yankees for Cano/Hughes, Montero,+,+ i forget who it was but is there any validity to the trade?
Almost all of those players we have only had for up to one year, i hope they can advance fast and fulfill their potential, the one thing about he sox farm is we never really rush our prospects, give them the time they need to develop.
Thats cool ill try to register for it next year, i tried to get tickets and woke up too late and every game in june july and august i cant buy which sucks cause thats the only time ill be home from college
I love watching the sox pillage the draft because a lot of the lower market teams can't afford the contracts, and 5 of the top 50 picks in the draft... wow
It seems like the sox are really in a win now mode, i see them signing one or 2 arms and unless dubront is lighting it up as a starter in pawtucket i see him turning into a reliable bullpen arm as well
I wish i had seen it, please try to tell me he didn't look hungover. If i ever did meet a red sox player in a bar though i would take shots with him untill i died
im sick and hungover as f*** right now i would expect he is the same hell he can buy out a whole bar for the night now with his contract. Him and Theo were downing patron the night before
A lot of people have been saying that if the sox sign Martin they will not be able to sign the marquee bullpen arms, but whos to say they still wont. With the money they have spent this offseason i see them pushing their budget a little to win for the next 3+ years
