  1. Alright, I'm done arguing.
  2. You must be out of your mind
  3. He'll whoop some ass tomorrow.
  4. He the audacity to compare HOF Henderson to Ellsbury LOL. "Oooooooh that is just SO DISRESPECTFUL"
  5. Forgive me, because I totally had a brain fart moment. How could I mistake the bloody sock game for the fight smh. Well I meant to say, we still won that game and we ended up winning the ALCS that year. So drilling A-Rod doesn't necessarily mean that's the reason we lost the game.
  6. He's fast, no one will disagree with you. Where do you get strong from though? Other than 2011, which screams fluke, what power does he have? Imo, this is just as ridiculous as comparing him to Bonds. Henderson made a career out of stealing bases. He still holds the record for most steals. Compare him to another player that's playing now. . That price is way too much for Ellsbury. He doesn't deserve all that money. He'll probably get it, and I hope it's not from us. He's still a good player, but from what I've seen from 2007 and up that does not add up to a 100 million dollar contract. This doesn't really help your point. He won't.
  7. Well A-Rod wasn't the one who got the lead, it was Gardner. Farrell's decision to take out Dempster is completely irrelevant. He wasn't even on the field, again this game was not on hitting A-Rod. You said it yourself that you can't prove it, yet there's multiple posters saying that was the reason. There's very little consistency in the argument here.
  8. You just can't compare a playoff game to a regular season game. Same concept yes, but a much different atmosphere. There's more on the line in a Championship series than a regular season game. Especially when the Yankees are irrelevant in terms of the AL East right now. You're actually helping my point btw. We drilled A-Rod in game 6 of the 2004 ALCS, please tell me who won that game? Hint:It wasn't the Yankees.
  9. These are very good points rjortiz. I know marklmw would have a tough time arguing these points. If he somehow manages to make valid arguments to most of your points, I'll officially be on the bandwagon to keep Ells. For right now though, I'm all for letting him walk. I like Ellsbury, but I'm not paying him for that talent he's going to give us. It's going to be way too much.
  10. There's only 9 people in the lineup that she posted. She's actually correct, because there is no point in posting a player twice.
  11. This post is kind of misleading, don't you think? You're saying hitting A-Rod helped us lose the game at first, followed by "we can't prove that 'firing up' the Yankees help them win. You answered you're own question. You can't prove it, so why does this all fall on A-Rod? A more realistic and reliable point would be he only scored 2 runs. Which wouldn't have been enough to get the win anyways. Imo, this discussion isn't even worth a thread. It was a bonehead move, but it didn't cost the Sox the game. This is pretty much the answer, but I would add Farrell into the mix. He shouldn't have been pitching in the 6th, but that's just me. EDIT: Shouldn't have been pitching after A-Rod hit the HR in the 6th*
  12. I bet haha, although I don't think the seats I got were too bad. When I purchased tickets to the whole Yankees series, I was expecting to spend over 200 dollars. The fact that I was able to get them for less than that was awesome.
  13. That's for sure. I tried to get any type of ball when I went to Fenway. Whether it was tossed to me, caught during BP(I was damn near close, but it was the Yankees hitting), or a HR ball. To get a foul ball and hit by Ortiz is so bad ass.
  14. I'm in Miami, but will someone in the state of Massachusetts get Forsyth some new pants. He might have made a mess.
  15. Damn, I was getting updates at work and saw the Gardner triple. That right there is what killed us. Probably should have kept my mouth shut at work, I got too confident after that 6-3 lead. Oh well, BTR really needs to make a GT.
  16. The mojo only works with positive vibes. If you're going to bring negativity, get the f*** out. It's Dempster, not Dumpster. He had a really good outing last time, and I expect the same tonight. The only person we're going to take a dump on is CC. Forsyth at the game mojo is also in effect, have fun buddy. http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/4553.png&w=350&h=254 CC "fat f***" Sabathia(10-10, 4.66 ERA) That's his career worst in terms of ERA btw. vs http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/3845.png&w=350&h=254 Ryan Dempster(6-8, 4.50 ERA) Fun facts: CC has a 6.23 ERA in three games against the Red Sox this season Today makes 17 straight days in 1st place 118 games we've either been in first or tied for first This is a night game on ESPN, so we get to embarrass these punks on national TV and take the series. Sadly I work so I will not be watching. It's about time this team goes on some crazy win streak.
  17. I've seen him crush many HR balls live, that one is definitely one of the longest HR I've seen him it.
  18. That is awesome man. You had pretty good seats too.
  19. The Red Sox have caught a lot of s*** for a loss streak. Just want to point out we're the only team that has not lost 4 in a row this season. #factsonly
  20. It was real simple. I tried to tell you last night. All you had to do last night was apologize to the baseball gods, and you blew them off. In return, they let the Yankees own us. All it takes is positive vibes *puts on sunglasses and walks away like a boss with cool theme music*
  21. I deserve some credit for that Magicarp name.
