    There's no getting Lee for a decent price. If we hadn't locked up LACKey, I would at least put in a serious offer. Adding him to Bucholtz and Lester would be epic.

    Reyes puts us another step towards Beast Mode. Just don't overpay because of his injuries. We would undoubtedly have the best IF in baseball if we got him. Or maybe we can get Hanley back? The Marlins are all over the place this offseason... (I don't REALLY want that lazy douche back)

    Sure, now that it leaked. Backpedaling. If nothing else, I would think Jeter wants $25mil/year because that's as low as he can bear to be paid next to A-Rod.

    No thanks. He is in serious decline. We're helped more by having him cost the Yankees serious coin while sucking in their lineup, not ours.

    Is $12mil a year enough for 30 HRs/ 100 RBIs from 2B? Obviously Uggla and his agent don't think so, and I agree. Not sure what his defense is like, but he's putting up big numbers in a traditionally weak offensive spot.

    True, but how crucial is speed nowadays, really? Especially in the AL, with the extra thumper at DH? Don't get me wrong, I think stolen bases are great, but it just seems like a part of the game that isn't very prominent any more.
