  1. Can you spot Price?
  2. Kelly won't arrive in time for pitcher and catcher report with his wife expected to have their kid any time now. but he looks good is that a Citgo sign shirt?
  3. Well he is shielding his gut behind that frame. He does look trimmer.
  4. That's definitely look shopped, check the blurry edges around Panda compare to that frame he is holding. The aliasing gives it away.
  5. 3 strike within a matter of 12 months, nobody could be that ignorant!
  6. It is very exciting with a established young core at the MLB level already and having the next wave that soon to arrive that includes a stud pitching prospect in the mix. Just what the doc order.
  7. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/top-100-prospects/ The complete list, some of these guys are as old as Betts/Bogaerts/Erod, or OLDER.
  8. I like Espinoza too, that command at age 17 with the velocity behind it? Look out. Most of these guys will be up within the next 18 months, exciting time ahead. Very interesting that Devers, Benintendi, Moncada are ranked our #1 by various publication.

  10. 1b with minimal power? I don't see him playing 1B unless he absolutely rakes. And this talk of him playing 1B is utter nonsense. Give the kid 1-2 more year before writing him off at catching.
  11. trading Swihart would be a disaster. Who would start for us? 1. Hannigan isn't a regular 2. Vazquez has not play an MLB game since September 2014
  12. Wally's mommy and daddy recently procreated a new monster. Did you know?
  13. Buccholz is a lightning rod for sure. He's a little more palatable as I expect Price, E-rod to lead the team, not him. Still not feeling Hanley playing 1B, who seem more thrill he will get the chance to DH next year than he is at playing 1B right now.
  14. Koji has shown him the art of seppuku, should he fail, he'll know what to do next.
  15. It's been a while this club extended a young player. Pedroia or Lester/Buccholz were the last. The MLB PA are really against it, and the pressure is for both Betts and Bogaerts to continue to set record breaking free agent contracts. I don't think anything will get done.
  16. Let's hope that is true.
  17. It appear a few have arrived early in Fort Myers. Pitchers/Catchers aren't due till the 18th. via @bradfo twitter So where are Pablo and Hanley???
  18. Castillo is at an age that's suppose to be his peak. He's not going to get much better if at all than he already is. This signing stinks.
  19. Bird has a torn labrum. 2016 is over.
  20. E-Rod will pitch in the playoff if we get there. They will need to map out when to skip his starts to accommodate that. But I think we're talking about 3-4 at most. He doesn't really need to be baby. His final start of 2015 was September 28. Hopefully his final start of 2016 is a month later this year.
  21. 15HR is not a lot, especially within this division. A couple of multi homer games, it adds up fast. JBJ can hit the ball very far if he times it correctly. I think 15 is very doable for him, he hit like half of his 2015 HR in August. His walk rate was over 10% last season, better than Betts. So he definitely has the ability to lay off pitches. It's just he's missing pitches within the strikezone by a lot. That shouldn't happen. He got yo-yoing around the last 18 months, let's see what a full season out of him. He is an extremely useful player, and that glove is special.
  22. With Owens, Johnson, Elias, Wright, that's good depth. This rotation just need Price, Porcello each to toss 200 innings. E-Rod close to that. Kelly/Buccholz at least 250+ total. I think Dombrowski put together a solid rotation first by signing an ace, keeping Kelly and trade Miley for a bullpen weapon. Miley is an inning eater, but he won't ever able to dominate the way Kelly could potentially one day.
  23. They're going for a defensive OF first with this group, and brought in Chris Young to platoon with Ortiz possibly. Oriz struggles vs lefties for a long stretch. I doubt Farrell wants Young in LF for 50 games a season. JBJ will be okay if he pops 15HR with his defense. He will eventually hit, he has always hit in the minors, and shown glimpses of it in the bigs. This off-season was rich in OF free agents, too bad they're stuck with a bunch of stiffs that either can't hit, can't field, or both.
  24. Let's see how he does in the East first, his K/9 is impressive. His road ERA was 2x his home last season.
  25. Joe Kelly look like he enjoyed the lip sync charade . Too bad he wasn't the one on stage. Seems like a cool guy.
