  1. If I was Posada, I would try to get in touch with his personal "trainer";)
  2. Salty has caught every single one of Lackey's starts this season. Coincidence? No, it certainly is not. Whether it is in Lackey's head or not, he does not seem to like Salty when on the mound.
  3. Two down, two to go.
  4. Crazy! The Sox need to play against aces more often. Sabathia, Hernandez, Haren, Weaver, Gonzalez are 0-7 against them.
  5. 5/14 Good-- Gonzalez Gonzalez Gonzalez Great-- Pedroia with 3 hits tonight Better-- Odd year Beckett is back Best-- Shutting out the Yankees, while beating up on their lefthanded ace, as their clubhouse looks to be having internal conflicts.
  6. Hmm... he has power.... and he can throw balls back to the pitcher. Sounds better than Salty to me
  7. I'll be spending game 2 in a pub right outside of Fenway. Enjoy the game all.
  8. Generally, I don't see anything tough about getting a good shot on a guy who is on his knees before the fight even starts.
  9. 6 million a year? Daaamn. How much is Rondo making a year?
  10. I just put "fire Francona" into google, and I was not surprised to see an existing petition already up, that wanted Francona's head. Unfortunately, that petition was created in August 2004
  11. And I want a pony:lol:
  12. Oh come on now, this is ridiculous. Last year we often saw Beltre, Scutaro, Hall, Lowell... Do you think that's really better than Youk, Lowrie, Pedroia, A-gon?
  13. Originally, it was family issues. But when they told him he wouldn't be a starter in the playoffs, he decided to take the season off, and devote his life to his one true passion: Food.
  14. Are you serious? Lackey went 14-11 last year, and 11-8 in 2009. Dice-k went like 18-5 in 2008. Its one thing to look at past years as benchmarks, but W-L are an isolated statistic that do not show the full picture of a pitcher's value. Wakefield got absolutely bombed by a AAA team, and when you pitch at 68 miles per hour, that is what is going to happen. Hell, if you want to look at his All-star year in 2009, you have to remember that most of those wins were BEFORE his hip surgery that seemed to have signaled the end of his career.
  15. So that leaves two to three games a week? Many of us in this thread complaining about Tito have watched most, if not all the games this season. When he doesn't have a rested bullpen where he can go Bard->Papelbon, he makes more bad moves than good ones. This bullpen is actually pretty damn good, but he has been misusing them.
  16. I'm fully aware of what that means. Its a lot of money for a *expletive* starter. But after the *expletive*show we saw last night for the first six innings, when I looked at the box score, saw 3-4, Lackey pitching 6 innings, I was okay with that because we saw exactly how little Lackey had last night, and he battled through it and atleast kept the game close. Francona blew that game, not Lackey.
  17. I quoted Boston220407, who was saying how great he thought Tito was, despite not actually watching the games.
  18. You know what, I'd take 4 runs over 6 innings from a #4 starter. The extra five runs go to Francona, not Lackey.
  19. Dice-k>Wakefield. One good start against the *expletive* Mariners does not suddenly make Wakefield a good pitcher again. You know what, I'm going to take this one step further. Did you even watch the *expletive* Minnesota game? He got completely shelled against AAA players. If you watched that game, you will know how done this guy is. He isn't a bullpen pitcher because he needs 20 minutes to get warmed up, and he can't be brought in with someone in RISP because of the high chance of passed balls. He's done with this team, and the Red Sox need to *expletive* realize it.
  20. Judging a coach by the box score is like saying you thought Twilight was a good book because you enjoyed the shirtless men in the movie.
