  1. Jason Terry's shot looks like it sunk this series.
  2. What the hell is up with MLB umpiring these days? I swear, there is atleast one bonehead call a game, and I'm not even saying its just against the Sox.
  3. What?! Joba may have Tommy John? This is terrible. I was feeling giddy with excitement at the possibility of reliving a favorite sports moment. Joba going back to Cleveland for the ALDS...
  4. It is official-- Crawford will be hitting in the bottom 4 spots of the order for the rest of his career in Boston.
  5. This is the third time Beckett has faced Sabathia this season. Game 1 in Boston Beckett(W) 8 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 10 K. Sabathia(L) 5.2 innings, 9 hits, 1 run, 4 K. Game 2 in New York Beckett(W) 6 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 9 K. Sabathia(L) 6.2 innings, 7 hits, 6 runs, 6 K.
  6. I keep thinking to myself... has his stuff really changed? Has anything about Wakefield really changed? Over his last 15 years, every season, his ERA has fluttered between 4 and 5 as a starter, and he's given a pile of innings. As long as he's healthy, that's what he's going to give-- its not like he's any less capable of throwing a 70 MPH knuckleball at 44 than he was at 40. He can be as frustrating a pitcher as Dice-k to watch, but as a fifth starter, I think this team can do far worse.
  7. Well, this sucks, but when it comes down to it, the guy has a .699 OPS, that's not too hard to replace. The defense is what the team will miss.
  8. Where did that come from Wake?!
  9. So um.... that was quick.
  10. This is why pulling Garcia in the 2nd inning was such a beautiful thing yesterday. Is anyone even warming?
  11. Intentionally walking a team's #8 is just plain ridiculous
  12. Intentionally walking a team's #8 hitter is just plain ridiculous.
  13. I like letting Lowrie and Scutaro battle for the position. Competition breeds success.
  14. Wow, dick move by Jeter
  15. Everyone said someone was going to get hit by a pitch early. Funny, didn't think it was going to be Burnett haha
  16. Funny, both Salty and Martin are out of tonight's game.
  17. Expect, or hope?
  18. Healthy RM is a annual All-Star. How can Salty be better than that? The problem is that RM's body has been beaten on pretty hard over the past few years.
  19. Beautiful timing. Now he won't be out there trying to end anyone's career tonight.
  20. Where's Jacko when you actually need him
  21. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a broken aging catcher in New York than Montero.
