  1. Uehara, Tazawa, Lackey? Maybe not Lackey.
  2. Someone had posted stats comparing the two over the last couple years. Surprisingly similar... I bet that's what he is referring to.
  3. Hmm... Want a laugh? Remember last winter when Iglesias almost went to the Pirates for Hanrahan?
  4. Hmm, I bet reviewing Peavy's medicals may be the challenge here.
  5. I'm a big Peavy fan. But I'm a bigger Iglesias fan. Who plays 3rd base?
  6. Heyman says Iggy is included.
  7. No major league talent should be coming off this team, especially your starting shortstop.
  8. I'm one of the biggest Peavy fans, and I think trading Bradley for him would be just plain dumb. Unless Lindstrom is part of the deal?
  9. Iglesias better not be included....
  10. Jeff Passan also saying no trade eminent for the Red Sox. Passan never reported on the Red Sox for a while, but ever since he put out details about some of the s*** last year, it seems like he's had a source in the organization.
  11. Reports said that Red Sox didn't add another reliever because they believe their pitching depth will be good enough. Britton has pitched well, Workman may end up in the pen, and Morales and Wilson are heading to rehab assignments.
  12. Workman was pitching for his first major league win. If I was trading for him, I wouldn't want to take that away from him.
  13. Lee, Buchholz, Lackey, Lester + Doubront/Dempster/Workman. That's one helluva competition for a #5 spot.
  14. Probably not Sale either. The White Sox are too busy figuring out a Peavy trade. Yeah, sounds like its going to be Lee.
  15. Edes -- Marlins source tells me "no way" to any Stanton talk/
  16. Well, not all three team trades are epic though.
  17. Two top 50 prospects? Lee isn't worth that kind of haul at his age.
  18. Ranaudo also out of the game, 6.2 with 98 pitches. That one might be coincidence.
  19. Choo, Granderson, Ellsbury, Pence.
  20. Workman is done for the night.
  21. As much as I like Peavy, Bradley is not the guy you trade for him.
  22. Lee, Stanton, Sale. Those are probably the only guys on bad teams worth Bradley. Still, I'd rather Bradley than Xander.
  23. Was Workman on anyone's radar earlier this year? His name was lumped together with guys like Steven Wright and Chris Hernandez far too many times. Deep down, even the homers know that is a bad sign. Yet, he's looking like a real middle of the rotation pitcher right now.
  24. In 3-Way deals, there is one GM who is so entangled by the different players going in different directions that he completely forgets that he's getting fleeced.
  25. I am very concerned by the trend we are seeing with expected demands from selling teams this year. They all seem to be more concerned about a prospect's position in the organization than the actual value of players received. Would it be easier for a losing team to tell its fans "We got teamX's top prospect" ? Besides the Garza trade, which trade has been a huge overpay by the buying team? Relievers have been coming off the market for mediocre pieces.
