    What's the point in reading them if you don't want to read them? Game threads have been the best this year of any year that I've been here. If you haven't figured out what these kinds of threads are like by now, I don't know what to tell you.

    Just to be clear, Jake Ordizzi was also part of the trade. He was a top 100 MLB prospect in 2010, 2011, and 2012, so he's not exactly chopped liver... definitely not a guy I'd want to trade 1-for-1 with Wade Davis. If Kansas City was willing to do Meyers + Ordizzi for Shields + Davis, would it be unreasonable to see them trade Meyers for Lester straight up?

    Most partial statistics are not that valuable. I do think in Doubront's case it is worth looking at the smaller sample size. If he came into spring training in better physical shape, and hit higher velocities earlier in the season, do you really think he would have had such a rough April?

    Do you know what makes it more disgusting? Brandon Workman hasn't pitched in 7 days. If you want to give the starters a rest, why not let the guy with 3 consecutive quality starts have the chance? He'll probably get the ball in the 2nd inning...
