    Uehara's option has been vested, so he'll be back in 2014. In other news, NESN posted a crazy stat about Tazawa. In 6 games versus Toronto he has a 9.00 ERA. In 47 games against everyone else, he is closer to 1.68.

    Is it just me, or is Middlebrooks a very very good defensive 3B? All the reports/stats I've seen say he is closer to average, but he makes some very good plays.

    Not that I'm aware of. If the team wins, the GT is posted by the poster who created the winning GT. Otherwise it is a free-for-all.

    If XB plays SS, then who plays 3B? If Middlebrooks plays 3B, who plays 1B? I don't think the Red Sox need Drew, but he's worth taking a chance on a qualifying offer.

    I could definitely get on board with Billy Butler. I am nervous about what the Royals would want.... They're tasting their first winning season in a while, and I doubt they'll want to trade their All-Star first baseman for anything except for major league talent. Any trade involving Butler would cost some combination of Doubront, Carp, Workman and Tazawa.

    Josh Reddick with 5 home runs in the last two games. He brought his OPS from .613 to .680 just like that.
