The DH is a burden? I don't understand, wouldn't having your pitcher at the plate be more of a burden?

I don't think low scoring games is whats hurting ratings that much. First of all the fact you have two smaller market teams has quite a bit to do with it. A WS with the Cubs vs the Yanks/Sox/Angels for example would generate much higher ratings. Plus MLB has to compete with other very popular TV shows/sports. I think the days of the WS approaching a 30.0 rating are over though because time's are changing. The dependency upon television doesn’t exist in the same manner as it once did. With an endless array of web sites, Twitter and extensive media coverage, fans are able to easily obtain all of the necessary information in a two minute window instead of committing three hours to watching an entire game.

It's pretty funny two teams named the Giants will have two championships in the last 5 years and they'll both be winning it in the same year.

Depends how you look at it, if Rivera retires we have Soriano to fall back on, if Rivera returns, another team will pay Soriano with a multi year contract.

This doesn't seem likely based on what Cashman said today. "It's not like I'm going to hang phones up on anybody who wants to make any overtures about anything," Cashman told O'Connor. "You're talking about realistic stuff and unrealistic stuff. I don't think it's realistic at all for us to be moving forward with anything but Alex Rodriguez at third base. "He's still an above-average third baseman. ... That means despite the contract that we had committed to him, that he's an asset at this stage still. I don't see us doing anything there. I don't anticipate it. If someone wants to make phone calls, we're more than willing to do all that stuff with any of our players, and that's fine. You can run into something that way. "But listen, the sooner we put to bed any expectation or anticipation that the Yankees are going to be solely focused on trying to move Alex Rodriguez. ... I think that would be false. And it would be just a lot of wasted energy on anybody's part to be thinking."

Not really, he wasn't able to get out Texeira or Cano, then Ibanez hit two fouls and the slider Coke threw to get him out was probably the best one he's thrown in his entire career.
