They have a solid 1,2,3 with Sabathia, Kuroda, and Pettitte. They give quality starts more often than not as long as they stay healthy. It's just the back end of the rotation that needs help really, and the bullpen of course.

2 years and 13 million for a guy with a negative WAR and an OPS under.700 (the last two years) is a horrible deal. You could get that production from a league minimum player.

a700hitter you've always been one of my favorite Sox posters because you straight up tell it how it is, you don't let your fandom form a biased opinion and effect your judgement which is a rare quality most posters don't have. :thumbsup:

regardless, I thought Rivera's cutter has been the best signature pitch since the 90's, I didn't just reach that conclusion after reading an article a day or two ago. at the time I made that comeback comment I was just trying to get under certain Sox fan's skin more than I honestly believed it to be true in my mind.

So I had my share of ignorant comments in the past, sue me. I've matured quite a bit, I'm not as young and naive as I used to be. Don't try to act like you haven't had your share ether. You lost major points when you said you would buy everyone MLB TV if the Red Sox missed the playoffs in 2011.

I didn't plagiarize s***, in school they had us read s*** all the time and write essay's about it in our own words, which is what I did here. "His cutter was superior to Nolan Ryan's fastball, Sandy Koufax's curveball, Steve Carlton's slider, Roger Clemens' splitter, Pedro Martinez's changeup and every other pitch." was the original quote, clearly different from what I wrote.

It’s not as though he’s on the decline. Last year he set career highs in WAR, homers (33) and slugging percentage (.550) and his on-base percentage (.379) was just two points off his career high. His .318 True Average — his production per plate appearance, expressed on a batting average scale after adjusting for park and league scoring levels — also set a personal best while ranking 10th among all major league hitters and third among up-the-middle players (catchers, second basemen, shortstops and centerfielders) behind only Mike Trout (.357) and Buster Posey (.350).

I would say Yaz 67 or Williams 42, the batting triple crown is much rarer than the pitching triple crown, so I give them the edge over Pedro.
