  1. Mein gott.
  2. That's why you go classy with the cardboard crowns.
  3. "Pirates acquire Burnette and Lackey, aiming for Mets' loss record." Sounds like a really good Onion article.
  4. You know that crown don't fit no more.
  5. I don't think overpaying is really justified. But he really wasn't all that overpayed. I wouldn't consider it a bust or a good deal, but he was definitely satisfactory. I think a bust is when a player doesn't even approach expectations, so that label isn't really appropriate. Well over .800 OPS with Boston with good defense. It beats having a piece of s*** out there even if they can play 162 games. If Carl Crawford lives up to 85% of his salary, I will call it a success.
  6. Anyways, this thread will start a riot. I think the OP knew that.
  7. Up until his injury, he earned his money. As much as people like to trash him, the dude was good. He was an elite corner OF when healthy. More than solid on defense, and his offense was among the best.
  8. Ross beats Roy eight days a week.
  9. New Fenway: "The House that Ross built"
  10. As BAD? 3 months of hot streak and half the site was wanting his dong. Some members here were even seen hating, then jumping on the wagon all in one thread. Absolutely ridiculous. hits .900 OPS for a few months and he's suddenly an elite offensive catcher.
  11. Its the fearless predictions thread.
  12. I'd rather pitch to anyone than Ortiz on the entire team, and most of the league. What's your point? Ross is still a decent hitter.
  13. I didn't make a prediction though \o/
  14. I agree. And he is young, he can get better. He used to be a top prospect, so we'll see, he might still have potential, and hitting like that means that the capability is there. I hope so.
  15. To me, nothing special equates to moderate shittyness. I'm not sold on the bat yet either. We'll see, but average is still s*****, but it's a subjective term.
  16. Sabermetric projections are evidence? Lawl.
  17. Read the thread. Don't be lazy.
  18. All I said is there's little reason to expect Salty to be any form of good. I never said he can't or won't. Textbook case of reading between the lines. If I wanted to, I could find posts where I said he could definitely be a top-tier offensive catcher in the future, but nothing from last year inspires hope.
  19. No evidence he's going to improve other than its not very tough to improve on a .740 OPS.
