    Al Jefferson? Wally Szczerbiak? Delonte West? Jeff Green? Delonte West was a bust, sure, but how about Wally? Fine player with the T-Wolves and Celtics for many years. How about Al Jefferson? Absolute monster they had to give up to get KG. He put up stats comparable to Garnett's, but you refuse to acknowledge that. Jeff Green, he was the 5th pick in the NBA Draft. His value was very high. Plus Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, etc. How were they not giving up a lot for two guys?

    Yeah, but the point is that the Yankees don't have a cap to work with, not that they just pile on to what they have. The NBA's just so different, and Gom's refusing to acknowledge that.

    Your point about LeBron and Bosh: They'd go over the cap most likely with the new rules placed for 2010. They'll be getting rid of guys to sign new ones, unlike with the Yankees, who can sign all the guys they want, because there's no cap. There's a big difference.

    Dude, is someone actually saying Cliff Lee was better than Johan Santana? He dominated the league for years, and at one point, had a 40-4 post-ASG record. That's extremely impressive. Not to mention, the only guy I've ever seen more dominant than prime Santana was Liriano's partial year.

    :thumbsup: Lol'd And yeah, I agree somewhat, but I really liked the idea of having Holliday in the three hole, but yeah, Lackey's a great signing IMO. It gives us the best rotation in baseball regardless of what happens to Buchholz.

    Yeah, but they atleast could have gotten some value for Bradley, rather than taking on Silva, who sucked mightily in one of THE pitcher's ballpark's. Bradley's a mental case, but at least he has talent.

    Garland had such a great year. The 2005 White Sox pretty much dismantled everyone that year. Good offense, great pitching. No one had a chance, and they absolutely s*** on my two favorite teams (Twins and Red Sox).

    I agree for the most part, however, adding a strong bat makes us that much better. We already have the best rotation in baseball, and like you say, the defense being stellar as it is, but we're taking a step back offensively if we don't make a move. However, I think we do make a move, I simply don't see us standing pat with someone like Kotchman. We need to replace Lowell's bat with someone superior, such as Gonzalez or Beltre. Either way, I think it improves mightily over Kotchman.

    Those are good-to-elite pitchers though. Lincecum, Cain, Kershaw, Webb, Haren, etc could all easily contend for a Cy Young award. Also, name 6 pitchers of THAT quality in every division, and you have yourself an argument.

    Yeah, if I were a hitter, I think the AL East is about where you wanna be. Coors is probably the best hitters park, but Fenway, NYS, and Camden Yards are VERY hitter-friendly as well. Also, AT&T, Dodger, and Petco are three of the biggest pitchers parks in the league. He spends well over half his games in pitchers parks, and not to mention, against the likes of some very, very good pitching. (And at Chase, against Haren and Webb too).
