  1. Let this be real....let this be real.
  2. Cards are too hot of a team to be put down in 5 like they are the Astros or a National type team.
  3. Sometimes I wonder if those folks at MLB TV know what they're talking about? :dunno: They said that the Cards MUST win this game to have a chance. That's has to be one of the stupidest thing a host has ever said. smh
  4. Pujols is just insane. If the Cards let him walk they just might give birth to the pujols curse. lol I dont think they're that dumb to let him walk though.
  5. What an amateurish game this is.
  6. Check your homeruns stats again.
  7. Booya! Another first inning scoring homer.
  8. Awesome way to win it. Nice trashing of the Tigers.
  9. He's good. He just dissapears in the postseason, just like CC.
  10. Hey Emmz, I'm interested in what your thoughts are about your boy Verlander and Scherzer now. Even though Tigers won game 5 Verlander, again stunk the show. He gave up 4 runs and 8 hits and the only reason why he didn't get pulled was because the Tigers defense bailed him out. And tonight as you can see Texas is chewing through the Tigers pitching. Is that now a big enough "sample size" enough for you or do you think he still was the awesome pitcher with 20+ wins on the regular season you make the guy to be?
  11. I dont know about the best but this is pretty good.
  12. I hope Red Sox dont intent on going after Wilson. He's awful.
  13. He'll go to Tampa and proceed to destroy the Red Sox everytime Tampa faces Boston.
  14. Wow fail. Everyone is replaceable. No one is untouch in sports.
  15. This is what a mentldown of historic proportion will do to you. It seems no one wants part of Boston right now. Tito is gone. Theo is gone and Ortiz doesn't sound too thrill to come back either and on top of that you have Beckett acting like a teenager. Wow this is some kind of mess. Beckett saying Baseball is not his priority says alot. His mind is not on the task at hand. If I'm the FO I would start cleaning house. I'd start by eating up Lackey's contract and revamp the whole pitching rotation. Start fresh. And so what if this takes you 5 years to be good again. I'd take that then have a disfunctional team and be a 50-60 game winner every year. I'm ashamed as a Red Sox fan that it got to this point. The owner has got to be more involve in things. In part Henry and comp, are to blame for this debacle.
  16. Mike Napoli, what a pick up by the Rangers. That's all folks.
  17. Everyone here keeps talking about how the Tigers look poise to take the WS. Cardinals look even better. They are just absolutely rolling right now.
  18. And of course after I made that comment about Rangers acting like they're dead. They go on a run scoring binge. lol
  19. LOL yep. That's why I stopped replying. Emmz is one of those people that has to be right everytime and everyone is wrong. Anyhow, back on topic.. The Rangers look dead in this game. They're not even trying.
  20. LOL if the Cubs are expecting anything less then Theo himself they must be on that crack joint.
  21. You're going off base. First of all, I dont care if Verlander does good or bad. Same goes for Texas or any other teams right now on the Playoffs, except maybe Cardinals and only because Pujols is there. So is not convinient for me because I'm indifferent in that regard. With that said.. I'm not talking about past accomplishments with those other guys. Just talking about this postseason. Lee, Halladay, Cebathia, Verlander are all great pitchers, no doubt about that. However, all pitchers mentioned above didn't do their thing when it mattered. You can have the best pitcher out there but you wont have the advantage even if he's the best pitcher in the world when the oposing pitcher is basically matching your performance. Which BTW has been the case in many games this year in these playoffs.
  22. It applies for the series because A, this is not the regular season, these are the playoffs. And B, is all about how mentally prepare you are. Chances are you are going to be borderline nervous going into an elimination game and you are prone to make some mistakes. It most definately applies because the pressure is so huge. Lets just see how this one plays out first.
  23. Ben Cherington would be the front runner for the job.
  24. I'm sure Cebathia, Halladay and Lee would strongly disagree with you there. When your team is down 2, potentially 3 if indeed Texas wins tonight and Verlander pitches game 4 down 0-3 you're always going to be at a dissavantage no matter how good he is. As a matter of fact, Tigers wont gain any advantage unless they tie the series.
