Didn't seem to be much of an issue there.
Now with the Sox, we have the media questioning Lucchino going over Cherington's head. What's the difference vs the Cubs? None, except Lucchino handled the whole business poorly, not spelling out Cherington's responsibilities or his own. Things changed after Theo, and they should have said so. Larry's title, for one. It would be foolish to think Cherington has the power Epstein had when he left. But we had to find that out the hard way. A PR screwup.
