    2 factors The Team:Yankees=absolutely not, Rays=hell no, generally any one in Contention with us (also in any post-season play) The Score: if its 9-0 let the man have it he deserves it especially if its a perfect game. having said that i want every hitter to do whatever he can to stop it, I feel it is a hollow victory if the last 5 batters roll over just to give someone the perfect game just like Favre giving Strahan the record breaking sack. If im a player I want to know that I downed every batter while that batter tried as best as they could to get onbase and yet i still came up on top, nothing should be given to you.

    sorry to veer from the subject of the Cy Young softball pitchers but id like to know everyones opinion on wether or not we keep Bay or let him walk at the end of the season? im sure this has been adressed earlier in the thread but im lazy and would just like to get a tally on everyones honest opinions. i dont necisarrily need an explination a simple yes or no will do but if you have some thoughts on why or how id be glad to hear it.

    the Dodgers are great but the cards were competing before they got DeRosa and Holliday, I think that puts them in a lethal position plus the Phillies are looking good too especially if they get Doc, its gonna be a NL postseason battle...and pitching wins in the post season and the cards rotation is better than the dodgers or the phillies.

    I dunno, Lowell is playing well we probably want to milk his streaks for all they are worth, but Lowell is going to sit out one of the next 2 games so its 50-50 probably...

    this game has lowered my blood pressure a bit ha its good to see the sox go and play a decent game, still some problems but things seem to be going well, and sometimes thats what you need to get out of a slump. you know what they say slump's in baseball are 90% mental.

    its good to see them letting Penny go a little farther into games, Penny fast ball sat at 97 pretty consistently all night thats good to see.

    I like the swings better when they hit something. but im pleased with todays performance we are getting on base and driving in runs. Ells and Lowell are having decent nights
