  1. Hey if were getting a pitcher im thinkin they need to be a guy that gets a 4ERA with an avg of 6.5 innings a game atleast, im not trading s*** for another s***** pitcher...
  2. I can agree to that Cooperstown is a place of baseball history, and like it or not their bans are a big and fairly important part of baseball history.
  3. I definitely hope so I think he is due for something big...
  4. its a tragic story, Javy getting raped by an alcoholic lamp...he was never the same...
  5. Flexible?!? he has been banned the majority of his life, he hasnt played baseball again since!...I dont think it will tell any player that they can get away with cheating he still served a hell of a sentence.
  6. I was gonna say that, Pena sr. was at a position that doesnt necissarily need offensive powress but atleast Pena sr. batted over .175 and was a good defensive catcher i dont think Pena Jr. was an elite defensive SS...
  7. what was Pena Jr. batting? like .098
  8. lol you cant be serious? I think Rose has paid for his crime, even if he refuses to admit he ever did it, if Sosa, Bonds, and McGuire can be even considered then Rose deserves to as well...
  9. I like the idea of getting Hanley but Im pretty fond of Gonzo too (tie always goes to the SS) its just really easy to get reactionary right now...its hard for me to say we are fine right now...
  10. I agree, I think he would be lethal at fenway, from one report i believe i heard that his Natural swing is perfect for fenway, I dont know too much about that but ive heard that it would vastly improve his Doubles and HR...
  11. I agree which is why I put Martinez as being more likely being that the FO is conservative with his farm, and Reynolds is ALOT cheaper than AG...
  12. Agreed but we give up FAR more dealing for Gonzo than we do dealing for Reynolds, but that probably makes Martinez the smartest one to go for.
  13. thank you. if that someone is Mark Reynolds so be it, I happen to like the guy, and if you put him at 1st hes less of a defensive liability and he is bound to improve a bit with the sox lineup v. the D-Backs lineup, me personally id take Gonzo or Martinez before Reynolds but we need someone with some offense.
  14. that wasnt the point of that post, he was the one i liked least out of all those i mentioned and the least likely to happen in my opinion but my point is that Lee doesnt solve our offensive problems, if we drop smoltz we have a decent rotation we dont have a decent lineup though...
  15. and that is a problem but one that should work itself out being that most young pitchers are not known for control. maybe he just needs the Major League "Wild Thing" coke bottle glasses to fix that...
  16. I know, and I think Lee is a good pitcher, you just see alot of ppl labeling him as an ACE and i dont think he is i think he is a good pitcher just not an amazing pitcher, alot of ppl act like he is Cy Young reincarnated he had an amazing year and has good stuff but i think it would be real easy to overpay for him...
