    really I just want whatever gets us into the playoffs, I passionately dislike the Yankees but if them winning allows us to play in October then I am fine with it, I wont root for them but Ill certainly root for whatever helps us.

    that wasn't my point, my point is that he said never root for the Yankee's. If it benifits the sox at all I will root for the Yanks because I love The Sox with more passion than I hate the Yanks. So look at it that way, chief.
