I can't argue what you say because you rarely make definite statements. 90% of your posts are sarcastic. If you want to open up debate on a topic, then you'd have to make a definite statement which could be debated.

No, that's ridiculous to predict a 3 game sample size. But the Angels play the Yankees tough, and the Yankees will have to travel across the country to play them. But you seriously think the Red Sox will lose this series to the Royals based on one game? I didn't hear you saying that before we lost tonight. No one's assuming anything. We're just saying we're in good shape given past history. It's not like we're making excuses, we have the same record as the Yankees.

No one's saying the Angels are going to play the Yankees well because they did 7 years ago. They always kill the Yankees including a 7-3 record against the Yankees last year. No one said the Twins will bow down the Yankees because of how they played in 2003. They alwasy suck against the Yankees including a 0-7 agaist them this year. If you feel a certain way, make a logical argument that proves your opinion. Don't say something as ignorant as "previous performance doesn't matter" because it very clearly does in baseball.

You said past performance bears no influence on current results. So obviously you think Eric Hinske has as much a chance to hit 30 home runs in the second half as Albert Pujols, and you think the Orioles can play as well as we did in the first half, and you think the Nats could have the best record in baseball in the second half. Previous performance matters. To say it doesn't was one of the dumbest comments I've heard on this site. I feel like you could have made your argument (whatever it is) 100x more logically.

Good point Jacko. I'm sure everything that could possibly go wrong will go wrong will go wrong and the Yankees will be in perfect health and beat us by 20 games.

You're totally right. I believe Julio Lugo can play defense Nick Green can hit because previous performance doesn't matter. While we're at it, why not count on Mark Kotsay to put up Pujols numbers! :wetodd: Dude, previous performance matters. It matters A HELL OF A LOT in any sport.

You're right, the Yankees are TOTALLY a lock going off to the west coast to play the team that's played them better than any other team the last decade. And we're TOTALY sunk playing one of the worst teams in our league because Meche is pitching one of the games. Do you have any idea what our teams numbers look like against Bannister? DRAMA LLAMA!

The Yankees get their kryptonite the Angels and we get the Royals without Greinke and you put your money on the Yankees. How dramatic You do realize, the Yankees had to play their best baseball of the season and we had to play our worst in order for them to even tie us, right?
