i don't get it....they want to keep wakefield, but would be willing to let varitek go.......after everything he's meant to the club, they're more concerned with wakefield's dignity than the captain's? I don't think wakefield will be usefull anymore......time to hang em up. Let varitek stay one more year and retire with pride ........."that's just my opinion, i could be wrong"

how many of those championships were you alive for? anyway, after aquiring babe ruth, the yankees went on to aquire most of the rest of the red sox for the next few years.......alot of those championships were with former red sox players.....anyone can BUY a championship....it takes heart to WIN one.......the sight of that ring doesn't bother me

Drew didn't have a very good first year w/the Sox, but he's turned that around. He's pretty consistant. I'd keep him...

I'd go with dice.......he has experience, and clay was offering up alot of home run balls at the end of the regular season....scary.

I think having T-nez is a BIG reason we went so far ahead of the Rangers/Rays......but not the only reason
