    @The_Destroyah - it's just always weird when they all seem to be slumping at once....but I agree, slumps happen. It'd be nice if they break out of it...and more consistently...today/soon. heh

    I'm rooting for Clay...I know he can pitch well. He just hasn't yet given me Beckett-like confidence. They must learn somehow...but doesn't mean I don't have a lot of doubts in the meantime. I would definitely like to see him have the game of his life, tho...and not just because I'd like the team to win.

    I don't know which I find potentially more depressing...Clay/the offense possibly having a bad night and us losing again, or having to watch the game on FOX.

    And everything the media reports is true, eh? The union guy said they were not informed of player names, only the number of positive results. Believe it or not.

    I also find not being able to say more information without having more information a reasonable stance. It's not a satisfying stance, to be sure, but it's reasonable. It's amazing how much people, even fans, want to believe the worst. I am not saying he is innocent, or guilty for that matter. I don't farking know, do I? I am, however, saying that judging someone's character via these stupid news conferences is like believing the guy across the street is a drug dealer because he has a lot of friends over at midnight. Get off the conjecture high character horses, people. What if you were accused, and you knew you were innocent? No matter what you said, do you think anyone would believe you? This whole list/steroids/legalities crap is sad, stupid, and IMO should be left in the past. Start monthly testing and half-season or full season suspensions and be done with the issue of what who did 5, 10 years ago. Get over it.

    Even if he knew what supplement he thinks he took to trigger a positive, I feel pretty sure he wouldn't be allowed to actually name it/them w/out more proof that it WAS a particular brand, because, well, everyone's lawyer/sue happy these days.

    The pessimist in me wants to say "NY, the way they've been playing lately, will totally sweep us" but at the same time...this has been a strange year.

    We'll take 2 out of the 4...possibly 3 if Clay pitches his better game. I'd like to believe we could sweep them and keep that NYY win streak alive, heh, but unless NY is still somehow irrationally psyched-out just from gazing upon our team, it won't happen.
