  1. Stupid Dodgers. Or perhaps, stupid Rockies, allowing 5 runs. Maybe they can get it back... Well, I'll say this one thing...if it comes down to Dodgers vs NYY, that's the one time I'll root for the Dodgers. But it won't come to that, right, Red Sox? Right.
  2. Come on Rockies, score something!
  3. What a pretty score. Just saying. I love grand slams...they are so awesome.
  4. They won a game, that was nice to see. I hope it means they're out of their loss-slump. But as long as they get 'hot' when they have to play the Angels, that's all I care about right now.
  5. That was freaky & deja vu-ish.
  6. So had a dinner meeting, missed it...just watched the 8 run 3rd tho, that was nice. Obviously Beckett pitched well, from the score...but how did he look, if you know what I mean?
  7. Actually, Amalie Benjamin & others at the park say that Lester will pitch Sunday's 5pm game, if his arms "feels good." Also: Beckett tomorrow, Buchholz at noon Sunday, Lester at 5 Sunday. Daisuke on Tuesday. And...Mother Nature can still suck it. hehe...but at least I have no plans on Sun. (unlike Sat.) so I can see the double header.
  8. Mother Nature can suck it.
  9. Let's go Boston! Hammer those nails into the Ray's coffin...and stay ahead of the Rangers. Whooohoooo....hope this is an exciting game-with "us" on top at the end of course-...I need something to burn off excess energy. Gogo!
  10. Giants on Fox for me, other options besides mlb.tv radio not working for me. Oh well...sounds like so far, I'm kinda glad I can't see? Was hoping for a good Wake outing...maybe he'll settle in.
  11. Oh wait, I guess Ortiz is still DH'ing. *giggles* Well, guess tonight's a good time to catch up on some reading.
  12. Not to interrupt or anything....but is anyone else just LOL'ing at the game by now? You have to laugh...everyone but Gonzo/Taz in one fell swoop. Spring training!
  13. That was a nice game. Clay made me nervous in the beginning but he ended up with a decent performance, imo. BJ's injury gave me a scary moment, how long he was down etc..glad it seems to be nothing horribly serious.
  14. @Dipre Well, if there was no disrespect intended and I misread the thrust of your remarks, for that I will apologize. It happens. I'm fairly sure I've never said the AL/NL are actually completely equal, nor claimed that differing rules absolutely could NOT effect something, or anything else of an absolute nature. I tried to use careful wording that I don't understand why/don't see the hard data for some of the popular fan beliefs about the two leagues. I've also stated many times since I've been here that I have not been a big stat person. ie, give me the statistical reasoning for those beliefs, rather than an "everyone else says so". If you/anyone can back something up, why not do so, rather than just saying you can? If you can, please do...as I stated before, I'm interested in such "backing up" - links, articles, whatever. (I haven't checked the other thread to see if you already have there, recently). I can of course do some research on my own, and have been trying to do so, but I'm also interested in what other people believe/find to be proof of their beliefs. And I in no way feel "victimized" - only irritation & frustration at feeling like my remarks/opinions are not being understood & misinterpreted, and I chose to express it instead of remain silent. This doesn't, in my book, equal "poor me." It's simply frustration at my seeming inability to communicate w/those who discuss in a casual/harsh style I'm not very good with...and probably a sign that I need to get away from the internet for a while again.
  15. So I suppose you've been to every bar, business, every forum & social networking system on the internet, or somehow can read minds across any distance and thus KNOW exactly how all fans think or would respond? Kudos to you. I have heard NL fans say stuff like that. Not ALL of them, not even close, that would be ludicrous to claim, but I have heard/seen it enough to have felt safe in making that statement. 1-I'm a fairly easy-going soul, especially for places like this where heated silliness is the norm, but your subjective rash statements in an effort to put my own subjective opinions down is beginning to disturb my calm. Your reading comprehension of my recent posts seems to also be fairly low, or else you might've realized that there's some self-depreciating "I know opinions can be subjective and it amuses me" humor/irony tone to my posts, rather than me claiming "This is FACT, nyah nyah!" 2-Your style, at least in regards to me, reminds me of Monty Python's "I'd Like to Buy an Argument" sketch. It does nothing to convince me that I'm "wrong" or encourage me to listen, which is the inherent flaw with using such discussion techniques. I have no issue at all w//admitting that my subjective observations, on any topic, at any time, may be or is wrong, if given enough measurable and observable evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately, "you're ignorant" and "everybody knows that, u dork!" type of responses doesn't exactly equal that, does it... 3-I appreciated the few names you gave me in that other thread, that's what I like. It helps me gather more data of my own to further base my opinions on - although that doesn't always translate into changing my original speculation. But if you aren't going to give me actual data (or at least make funny jokes...), and your only other response style is akin to an angry 8 year old who doesn't like what someone is saying, then why should I continue to listen? Edit: PS - mods, I almost put this as a separate thread in the anything goes fora but changed my mind. If you think it belongs there, go ahead and split it off.
  16. Oh well, win some, lose some. Time for a store run, then losing myself in geeky videogames.
  17. Ok, time for a couple baserunners then a HR! ....it could happen. edit: then, not than. doh
  18. Is Green warming up yet?
  19. Ok, technically possible to still win of course, but I'd say that's probably game right there. :/
  20. Bummersauce.
  21. If this goes into long extra innings after Maddon emptied his bullpen I'm going to laaauuuuuugh.
