  1. 393 feet according to Hitracker.
  2. Not even close. Dumb argument.
  3. That's pretty cool because I voted for this very team. Although I did vote twice. One time I had Kinsler at 2nd instead of Altuve.
  4. No, I would have made an effort to snag him as a reserve starter for fair money ( not unlike what Oakland got him for ). The Sox put their eggs in some different baskets, instead.
  5. Going with the automated system would seem to be a "no brainer".
  6. So?
  7. Screw the bobble head. Check out all the chicks. GO SOX!!1!!!1!!
  8. Thanks Jerry. And booainose nachose.
  9. Reggie Smith, Roghilio Morett, Carlton Fisk, Eric Wedge, Mo Vaughn, Nomar Graciapara. Since others have posted non-Sox players: Baseball - A few of the O's bullpen during their dominant years. I don't remember their names but I used to smoke cigars with one of them. Hockey - Bobby Orr, Johhny Bucik ( sp ), Wayne Rivers, Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Gordy Howe. Ken Hodge ( he used to "work" at a bakery where I worked ),. Basketball - dozens although I don't recall all of them. I used to hang around the Garden about two hours before game time talking with Bob Ryan. Hambone Williams, John Havlecek, Dave Cowans ( I rode in his Mercedes with him ), Conny Hawkins, One of the Van Arsdale brothers, Bob Lanier, Dave Bing, Bob Love, Spencer Haywood, Don Watts, Jack Sikma, Dennis Johnson, Dave Whole (sps), Geoff Pettri, Loyd Neal, Wayne Rollins, Adrian Dantley, Bo Ellis, Paul Westphal, and others. Football - since I live in a town where many Pats players live, and I ran a business that many Pats players used - dozens of them! Adam Vinieterri lived on my street and used to ask me about my lawn. Teddie Bruschi was a customer ( actually his Wife Heidi was ) and they lived about two blocks from me. They used to ride their bicycles on my street to visit Adam. Ty Law was a nice guy, although he did not fully appreciate my humor. Ben Watson was huge! Ted Johnson was nice.
  10. Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!! I miss that net! But those troughs!!!!!
  11. Oh joy. More no-brainess.
  12. I think Porcello is what we see of him now.
  13. Yup. That is a bad habit that should have been corrected earlier. I'm surprised he has not had more problems because of it. And someone should tell Bogey not to slide into 1st base. It's dumb, counter productive, and will likely lead to injury.
  14. Normally I say that any team can beat any team on any given day. Or something like that. The Twins are an MLB franchise! But holy s*** did they embarrass themselves yesterday. They suck at everything.
  15. He has been one of the best RHH hitters in the game and appears to be in decent shape. I am of the opinion that hitters do not forget how to hit overnight. I say ride it out unless he becomes a black hole.
  16. I hope Mole Man is on his game. GO SOX!!!1!!11
  17. Do we have to wait for the 7 run rule to kick in? Bring in Buch. E-Rod is toast.
  18. Long ago I lobbied for Suzuki to be the Sox catcher. Not anymore! I have always liked kid. One of my favorite Hawaiians.
  19. I assume that you are referring to BDC posters. Over here, I posted that I was not confident that the outfield bats would be good enough. I was confident that Betts would be about the same as last year with maybe a little sophomore slump and / or slight improvement. I had no idea who would be in left which obviously would lead me to question what kind of hitting we would see. I had no confidence in Castillo at all. Bradley, as much as I have always said that given a sustained chance that he would eventually hit for .250 - 260 BA and be okay, had not proven capable of any consistency at the MLB level. So, yeah, I am pleased with what has happened this years. So far.
  20. Yeah the Valenzuela story was pretty cool. Of course the Dodgers aren't off the hook for what they had done to Mexicans prior.
