  1. lol I think DD mad a necessary move. I won't be pissed if Pompom does not do well and help us get to the play-offs this year. I would be pissed if DD stood pat and said "we think that we have enough pitching to get there this year without a move". I like that Pom is under control for two plus years and is currently making 1/10 of what Buch is being paid. A no brainer!
  2. BOS: Wright (10-5 , 2.68 ERA) vs. NYY: Pineda (3-8 , 5.38 ERA) 7:05 Start I had heard that E-Rod was to make this start. I guess not. Instead we have our All Star Ace taking the mound to take on the habitual greaser. I think that Pineda is The Yankees Buch. Noble gas between the ears. Even Gaylord Perry looked smarter than this guy. Anyway.... I had feared that the Sox would go into the break 5-6 out of 1st. Fortunately they decided to beat up on some weak competition and enjoy a good home stand. Double D has fortified the roster with some good moves and hopefully will try to shore up the pen and rotation further if it is possible to do so without depleting the system of viable prospects. So now that we are in withdrawal we can have our fix tonight as the Sox pound the once mighty Yankees further into irrelevance. GO SOX!!!1!!!1!!
  3. This is how my friend Brian frames this deal on FB. " Espinoza is only 18yrs old, a good 3-4yrs away from being a big leaguer (if he even makes it)....sox fans are never happy...if the sox didn't make a big deal we would bitch, they make a big deal and we bitch....sox fans are like a woman, they're impossible to please...haha. ..but im on board with this move...they arent too far from being a serious contender, THIS YEAR!!! I'll worry about 2020 in 2020...i care more about 2016"
  4. More from the chart.
  5. Sox still need another 3-5 starter.
  6. Henry Owens is a scratch for tonight game. Oh joy!
  7. This should be an unnecessary question. Thanks Ben.
  8. Anyone ever wonder the meaning of "Young, dumb, and full of cum"?
  9. How many new threads do we need about the ASG? Yesterday's attempt was merged. No need for this one either.
  10. You are not breaking any news to me Kiddo. Just the opposite. I was implying that if the Pats lose as few as one single game during the suspension that it would effect the Jets. So your "does not impact the Jets at all" claim is nonsense. Go back to your Pokemon Go.
  11. The whole thing stinks. Witch hunt from the beginning. I am not a huge Tom Brady fan. But he got s*** on here big time. If I were him I would "retire" and immediately sign with a CFL team. That would be fun to see.
  12. Ugh. Does not impact the Jets at all?
  13. He shouldn't. I am saying that the onus is on Ben to keep in touch with Beane about a player of interest.
  14. I saw this post after I made my post. But, yeah?
  15. That article is very interesting. I'm no kenisiologist (sp) so I don't understand exactly what damage comes from what movement. There is a lot to absorb in this article. I would think that teams, orgs, would have a clear program for training pitchers to throw in a fashion that will work and possibly extend longevity. Encouraging pitchers to throw in a motion that will promote injury is bad business when you spend so much on these guys.
  16. f*** me sideways. I'm still not convinced that Ben was not aware that Donaldson could be had. He should have made it clear to Beane that "if" he decides to move Donaldson that the Sox are all in and to contact us first. Beane has played ball with the Sox plenty of times. I see no reason why he would not do so again in this case. Maybe Ben had no interest in Donaldson? If so, it was a mistake.
  17. This is how I see it. Yes, I think 3.5-4.2 mil is stupid money for someone who is 17 and never faced high end baseball talent. I don't have any sand in my panties. I just don't like the way money is thrown around for unproven talent. The guy is not Spencer Haywood or Kevin Garnet. I'm not jumping the gun , either. I said stand pat as in "that's what we got for you kid. Take it or leave it."
  18. Yes but did the Jays have Fort Knox as their farm system?
  19. f*** this 17 year old punk. I say stand pat and if he does not sign then let him go off to Podunk Junior College. Whoever is advising this twit should be fired. His value is not likely to be better next year. Even if he has a lights out season in juco ball he may not see the same money again. Taking that risk is just dumb. Take the cash you twat. Or go s*** in your hat.
  20. That was a snoozer of a game. At least our guys did all right.
  21. I for one , don't. I hope to see 3.25 or so.
  22. Me too. I just want to see how our guys do.
  23. Amen. People are just fascinated by the shiny new toy. If he were called up now, what are the chances that his performance exceed that of Brentz / Holt immediately?
