    I agree. He looks like a dope, says stupid things but was a legit #2 or even a #1 type. Very stupid trade that yielded nothing.

    I reserve chastising the management for really stupid s*** like dumping Lester and Lackey and signing Sandoval. Kind of difficult to blame them for the under performance of one of the best pitchers in the game.

    Yup. I said it in the GT. Buch looked good. He says that they have changed his arm slot back to what it was in 2013 or something. This has given him better command of all pitches, greater velo and more "bite" on the braking pitches. I always loved that 12-6 curve when it was on. I am premature here, but I have a hunch that Buch will figure big before this season is over. Either as a RP or starter.

    DD in fact did make a major trade with San Diego for a starter. So far, he sucks. But he did pull the trigger. He also went out and got another good RH bat that can play 2nd and 3rd. He got a very good back end BP piece and a decent lefty specialist. He addressed the needs of the team quite well, I think. The team has been playing like s*** recently. But not because DD did nothing to make them better.

    Abade's career WHIP is kind of high. But he is a relief pitcher. His lefty split is pretty f***ing good. You can never have too many arms.

    Turned on the TV today to find that Merloni and company were talking about the Hannigan substitution. I'm sure many in the media are talking about it because that is what they do around here. I find it strange that no one mentioned the great plays by Wright in the bottom of the 1st inning. To me, those two plays were critical in the victory and very exciting to watch.

    Not sure I get your point. What ever it is. The writers went with what would probably be the most "clickable", salable , popular story line. Why waste text bashing Farrell when I can write easy fluff on the positive aspects of the game. It would be nice to see both criticism and praise for anyone in the same article.

    O'Brien said when it happened that "Surely there will be plenty of talk about this after the game." But then the Sox won so the reporters pussy footed around it. If the Sox had lost it would have been open season on Farrell.

    Lol. I remember getting a PM from you about 5-6 years ago asking me what I thought of the Sox possibly getting Beltran!!!! I told you then that while he could clearly still hit, I did not trust his knees would allow him to play full time or for the entire season. Pass. Now look at what is happening. Lol.
