I have liked each move as they happened but it's easy to see that none of them have paid the dividends that were anticipated.
Carson Smith going on the DL out of camp was foreboding. Then he came back and blew up his arm. Lovely. None of the others have been paying consistent dividends. Yet.
Abad is my guess as well but then we just wasted whatever resource was spent to acquire the stiff and lost Tommy Lane to boot.
Who would be the Loogey?
Issues? The issue I am thinking of is his remarks comparing Boston and Philly fans. That's about it. If he comes here and sucks he will hear about it very soon.
If he comes here and pitches well, no one will care what he said in Philly.
THIS.
Idiotic any way you look at it. You should never risk an asset if you don't have to do so. He risked the health of one of his key players. That alone makes it idiotic regardless of how Wright runs the bases.
But Farrell has an out. It turns out that both functioning neurons had been given the game off.
I agree with a700 and you.
Losing one of your top 3 starters unnecessarily is dumb enough. If we come up one game short of the playoffs it could be because we had a lesser pitcher for 3-4 starts that Wright stood a good chance of winning.
Otherwise your comment is absurd!!!!!!
Could they just DFA him if he is not lights out in spring training?
I don't fully understand how demotions and roster moves work exactly. But my guess is that Paplo would not get picked up and could then be sent to Pawtucket and be removed from the 40 man.
Maybe I have my head in my ass?
And this is your opinion, which I respect by the way.
How about starting Ortiz at 1st in LA. Was that also to help preserve Papi for later in the season?
Both were idiotic moves, in my opinion.
