  1. In any case always use honey, not vinegar with the cop. If you had to, you could contest it and get a hearing. Depending on how much money you may lose ( if any at all ) from missing work, it could be worth your while to do so. Magistrates or whatever court officer presides, usually at least reduce a fine and if you are a difficult Russian Bitch who is unrelenting, they just drop the fine and let you walk. It's a lot to go through, though. Especially if you were not speeding. If you have multiple moving violations "infractions" , you can save hundreds of $ in surcharges and fines.
  2. No. It is a lot more work and dangerous. It's much slower and the chances of getting caught are greater. A valve stem remover makes it so easy and quick.
  3. I think that if I were an athlete, I'd hire a person from India to be my agent.
  4. Of course he is. Just look at how stupid he looks compared to when he had the Moss flowing. Now maybe he grew up in the Barrio. I have no idea and really don't care enough to look it up. But that kid was brought up white. Just listen to him talk or sing! His cornrows smell of boredom and cultural appropriation. Any way you slice it, Arroyo is not from Africa. I am so glad that I derailed this thread by mentioning Willy Mo. I am God.
  5. Yeah cornrows. But I wanted to type Dreds cause it's bad-ass.
  6. You are wasting your breath Old Man. 1700 AB sounds like a legit sample to me and any Scientist I have worked with.
  7. Can't argue with that.
  8. It's like a dollar item at any auto parts store. Get to work.
  9. Holy crap Slash. That girl has a high center of gravity!
  10. I read no reports of San Diego being in on the slob. But assuming that they were, do you think that they offered him 22 mil for 5 years? You know, after he had been making only less than half of that in San Fransisco? The reports that I read at that time said that SF "Matched" the Sox offer. Meaning that the Sox offered him 22 mil for 5 years without having to. They appear to have been bidding with themselves.
  11. I really liked Arroyo for many reasons. I was happy when they extended him. Until they traded him almost instantly! A quality number 4 starter is worth more than a big guy with a bat that can not play or make regular contact. Dumb move.
  12. I miss those carts!!!!!!!!!
  13. I surely hope that no Yankee fans live in your neighborhood! Local TV report: "Live report of a Virginia school teacher in possession of a valve stem remover has been detained this morning. Three cars in her neighbor's driveway were found to have four flat tires. Details at noon."
  14. I was only giving you s*** Doc! No harm intended.
  15. I think white people in Dreds look really stupid. Other than that, I would have kept Arroyo.
  16. This is how I feel. Yank him after the first batter reached. I'm not sure Farrell had gotten anyone up at that point, though. Stupid.
  17. So doubling the pay of an obese 29 year old mediocre player without the market demanding it is a good idea. If the Sox had offered him 4/56 -4-60 it would have been a stretch because his numbers were not that good and the probability of him improving as he aged was close to nill. Not to mention the likelyhood of decline and injury. I guess if one totally buys into WAR as being an accurate means by which to assign a dollar value the deal may have been justified. I don't. Pablo was a bad investment for many reasons.
  18. Yet absolutely no justification for paying him twice what he had earned in SF. Especially with no other suitors other than his current team. DUMB.
  19. The best thing to do now is to drop talk of what could or should have been with regard to Espinoza. It's a done deal. Pom Pom is here now. Hopefully he develops into a decent mid-rotation starter. Also, speculation about a current prospect is just that. Moncada is from most reports an exceptional talent. One with about 1 year of pro ball in this country. As with many of the Cuban imports, it is safe to assume that he needs to work on some things to become ready for a diet of MLB ball. When he is ready for prime time the Sox will make the move. Benintendi has had major league skills since Arkansas. He reinforced this idea by being consistent in his approach at all levels. The Sox had a need for his skills and he was called up. I see no reason to get into cat fights over any of these matters. It serves little purpose other than to bore us.
  20. Willy Mo Pena was a freak.
  21. And what is to be gleaned from this startling data?
  22. I'm still wondering what ever happened to Cervelli and Montero. They were both going to be the next Johnny Bench.
