Yup. I agree, of course. Now Max is referring to me too, I believe. Last night I kept falling asleep during the game. I did see the play where Beni did make a nice throw home for the assist. I said to myself make sure you mention it on Talksox or someone will make an issue out of it. But I fell asleep and forgot to post about it! I never said he could not make good plays. Only that he had considerable room for improvement defensively.

A trade for a pitcher was necessary at the time of this deal. I was nervous about his newfound starting status but I was not unhappy that we traded away an 18 year old. I think DD made the right move.

Yeah he has been pretty solid. I do think Gomes was fun but this guy is easier to understand and sticks to straight analysis.

I did not see this play but I trust your judgment here. I do like Moreland, especially for the money. And while I have come to view him as a very solid defensive player, no way in hell should this guy ever own a Gold Glove. I have pointed out his deficiencies in blocking skipping throws. He ain't George Scott. He ain't even Mike Napoli.

What's the deal with Morrison? I assume that's the slugging 1st baseman from Tampa? His offensive numbers this years sure look tailor made for our team.

It was. It was a great play all around. Bradley put himself in perfect position to grab that carom and quickly made the pivot and made a near perfect throw to second. I hope Beni saw that and let it soak in.
