  1. Kalis baby! Love it.. Hughes is going to get ROCKED..His stuff looks weaak today..weak sauce.. no command..leaving everything up.. KALSISH!
  2. suck my dick Swisher
  3. Lester gonna make me some money today baby!
  4. Cmon Baby! BIG game.. TB is falling apart..we need this one.. Also.. I put $75 on the Sox @+118.. Let's do this!
  5. Bring up Dubront and get this f***ing trainwreck Okajima out of Boston,,, He is absolutely disgraceful. He cannot get anyone out. DFA him tonight.
  6. Sign that motherf***er right now! WOOHOOOOOO! 6 back of Yankees in loss column Jacksonian you sack of s***.... This Red Sox team has more heart than any other team I have ever seen.. If Dunn clears waivers we will get him.. If we sign Delgado..he will hit BOMBS! The Sox staff can carry them till Pedroia comes back and then it is ON!
  7. I actually like getting Salty..this kid can hit and I expect Magadan will really help him.. He is a big, switch-hitting catcher who Chipper Jones said..at one time.. "If you like McCann..wait till you see Salty" He is a mess behind the dish but has started to hit the s*** out of the ball at AAA.
  8. Turpen freaking sucks.. C- prospect. He has a 7.36 ERA with runners on..always a great quality for a reliever.. not really a great K rate... Wow..didn't think we would give a pretty good reliever away when we need relievers. Theo f***ed us.. He is content to watch the Yankees make all the moves..and watch us finish 20 out. SEASON OVER.. Thanks Theo..nice of you to quit on us.
  9. could be Conor Gillaspie... he is rated the #5 prospect in San Fran organization by John Sickels.... defense is suspect but he will get on base and hit for average with a little power... We do need a 3rd Baseman.. He is 23 and playing in the Southern League(AA).
  10. Gotta be one of Denny Bautista/Chris Ray/or Sergio Romo...but all are pitching pretty well...hmmm.. Maybe a utility player? Freddy Sanchez?
  11. I would bet it is Affeldt.. The Sox did just what they said they were going to do in that case...change of scenery move.. Affeldt had a great 2009 and has stunk this year. Oops..not gonna be him..he tore his left oblique.
  12. The Marlins may be posturing..they aren't going anywhere..why hold on to Ross when you could get a middle rotation starter of the future in Dubront? Theo should have gotten us Werth..even if it had cost us Kelly..He would have us at least 2 or 3 games better right now with his defense, baserunning, and bat.. Theo dropped the ball. He has Renault..who is better than Kelley stuff-wise.. Sign Renault and Deal Kelly for Werth.. Philly can replace the pitching they dealt(Drabek and Happ) with a young 2-3 of the future in Kelly. Re-sign Werth and we have a nice OF of the future with Kalish/Ellsbury/Werth.
  13. SF OUT for Downs.. I hope TOR lowers their demands.. He would be a fantastic addition.. the guy pitches tons of innings.. rubber arm and has a 1.02 WHIP.. I think we have a shot at getting Downs and Cody Ross.
  14. Werth is there for the taking... Theo had a f***ing month to get him! Even when all of our players return we still need an outfielder! Cameron is toast.
  15. Rosenthal tweeting NEW teams getting in on Dunn..he also says Rays are not aggressively seeking a bat... So we can count out TB/CHW/NY/.... I believe the Sox are in on this. Theo has always liked Dunn and Anderson is tearing it up at AA with 1.056 OPS.. this would seem to be a good fit. Maybe another mid-level... Dunn wouldn't kill us in left at Fenway...but he would probably get hurt running around on the road.. One thing is for certain..He would have no problem clearing the bullpens at the Fens..with room to spare.
  16. I am one who thinks Theo has something brewing. Everytime I have heard rumors involving Sox well before deadline they never come to pass.. probably because it gives other teams like the effing Yankees time to interfere. I have a feeling there may be a MAJOR deal brewing. I also like the fact that Gammons knows nothing..because he is usually spouting off silly rumors which never come to pass. I would love an Abreu/Fuentes package...not sure if Angels are giving up yet...but they should.
  17. I would think a package of Matsuzaka (Japanese appeal for Nintendo owners) + 3 or 4 of (Iglesias/Kalish/Kelly/Anderson/Bowden/Pimentel) the Sox's top prospects might be enough to land the Big fish and Aardsma--who is unscored upon in last 10 outings..has barely given up any hits... A rotation of Lester/Hernandez/Beckett/Lackey/Buchholz would be insane and with no IMPACT bat available at the deadline this may be the best option. I am sure we would throw some cash in the deal as well. I would be all for something like this.. Theo inquired last year..why not inquire again?
  18. Edmonds hits the ball the other way with authority.. Screw a BENCH bat...BENCH Cameron..he is doing nothing.. Get Edmonds and Cody Ross and release Hermida and trade Lowell. Edmonds and ROss can play left... and spot-start for Drew..enough with these AAAA players...
  19. Nah..we don't need another Bat Theo..just keep sitting there with your thumb up yer arse hoping upon little hope that the Sox aren't 15 games out when Pedroia and Sally Ellsbury come back.. Hermida should be released..he is absolutely fuicking horrible..he cannot hit worth a damn and he is the worst defensive leftifielder the Red Sox have EVER had..yes..worse than Greenwell or Manny. Patterson sucks. Cameron sucks--nice game tonight Mike..dropped a ball in the gap and hits into an innng killing DP.. I am praying we get Willingham or Ross..anything is better than the scrubs we have playing the outfield.. Or bring Kalish up..he cannot possibly be worse than Hermida/Cameron/Hall/...this is embarrasing..the Tigers stink.
  20. Really? I think the Red Sox..healthy..are better than the Yankees. I think they have a better rotation, lineup(from 1-9), bench, AND defense. Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz Youkilis Martinez Beltre Drew Cameron Scutaro is > than Jeter Swisher Tex Arod Cano Posada Gardener Granderson and is .200ish OBP(dude fuggin sucks) Colin Curtis/Watson/Thames The Red Sox were leading in runs scored with a bunch of AAAA players playing major roles.. What makes you think a completely HEALTHY Sox lineup would not be even better? The Red Sox have not had their lineup healthy at one time for this entire season. Ellsbury would f***ing wreak havock on rag arm Posada..it would be funny to watch...and if you DH him than you have to start Cervelli and his .683 OPS further weakening an inferior lineup. If the Yankees lineup is better, how is it possible that the MASH unit the Red Sox have thrown out there was able to lead the Majors in runs scored for most of the year??? Lester(best pitcher in A.L.)> than CC Beckett> Burnett (always has been) Buchholz = Hughes Lackey Dice-K>than Vazquez...Look at their AL numbers..it is not even close.. Dice-K is much better. The only advantage I give the Yankees is the Pen.....and barely.. Mo is the best closer... but Bard and Paps>than Joba.. Bard has been the best of all of them this year..but Mo is still automatic. So jacksonian..unlike some on this board..I see right through your tired, condescending act..it is always the same.. You give a small compliment to Sox (This time to Tito) but what you are really doing is laughing at the scrubs the Sox have out there...simply delighting in it....biding your time for your BIG finish...Then you get down to what you really want to say which is the Sox had no business being in the discussion even if they were healthy... Go f*** yourself..seriously.. I am so sick of your s*** and cannot believe these mods don't see through it. You are a low-life, vile, Yankee piece of s***. Keep gloating about it.. and the Yankees will keep spending $200 million-plus so you can sit there with your air of superiority and take your little pop shots at the Sox and their fans.
  21. Stellar post. I agree to some extent about the players and mental errors. Ortiz and Bogar must have been out late the night before and missed the free Starbucks the Mariners supply at Safeco...what a shameful display. I think Tito however has done pretty good this year with the hand he has been dealt. Besides the injuries we have moaned about ad nauseum, he has had to deal with players crying about playing time when he really had no other choice but to bench Lowell and Papi (for a few) and send Wakes back to the pen. He has stolen a few games for us inserting the proper AAAA players we have at the right times eg McDonald, Nava, and Patterson to a lesser extent. I really feel if the Sox make the post-season he should get serious consideration for manager of the year. I think Martinez will be back in Angels series and Pedroia and Ellsbury will not be far behind.. A sweep of Seattle would be really nice...and I expect it.
  22. Given the fact that the Yankees are way up in the loss column you have to think they will claim one of the two spots. The Sox do have plenty of games with them and they seem to have some problems with Tampa..but we seem to split with the Yankees most times. I have a strange feeling the Rays are going to fold like a cheap tent. Their pitching staff has been racing back to Earth. Wade Davis is tossing salad out there..he is being whipped pillar to post by every team he faces. Price is quickly approaching his career high 128 IP (120 going into tonight) and has been getting roughed up of late and he is getting raped by the MIGHTY Cleveland Guardians tonight. Matt Garza's June ERA was 6.83 and opponents hit .306! Garza has followed up his stellar June with an equally abysmal 6.19 July ERA. Shields should have been sent to the Minors after his horrific 7.67 June ERA and just to prove it wasn't a fluke, he has followed serve in July with a slick 5.47 ERA. Niemann has been their only consistent starter. The Rays offense is not very good. They still haven't found a good DH.. Burrell was an Epic fail as Joyce has also been. Upton is absolutely shameful and needs to be sent to the minors. Pena is hit or miss and is K'ing at an alarming rate..even for him. Bartlett is hovering around the Mendoza line and doesn't seem to have that spark he had when the Rays made their World Series run...which is probably why the Rays were in on the Yunel Escobar discussions.. Zobrist is solid..but nowhere near the slugger he was last year... Longoria is the only consistent threat and even he is slipping a little. The Red Sox have stayed within striking distance despite all of the injuries. I am tired of talking about them..we all know who got hurt.. My point is we have HORSES like Lackey, Lester, Dice-K, Buc, and now Beckett back! We will be getting our offensive studs back one by one.. This kinda reminds me of a short track horse trying to win the Belmont.. The Rays sprinted out of the gate leaving even the Yankees in the rear view mirror... As the season has gone on, they are showing GLARING signs of slowing down. The Sox pitchers who were injured are now getting back into it with fresh legs and arms. Granted this is not the way I would have drawn it up..but all the injuries might actually have helped the Sox in that we have some fresh players coming back and the backups have gotten invaluable experience. When every game counts and the rosters expand allowing Tito to make more moves some of these guys are going to come up big because they got so much time during the season. If all of our players come back healthy and we pick up a bullie arm and perhaps a hitter.. We are going to leave the Rays choking on our fumes and the Yankees worst fear will be realized. They do not want to see the Boston Red Sox in the Post-Season.
  23. It IS Theo's fault he brought us Lackey..he is a f***ing bum.. One of the biggest stiffs I have ever seen in a SOX uniform.. 1.66 WHIP...that is horrific! Scutaro is Lugo-esque with all the errors he makes... CASH!! That was a tough play...short-hops are really tough..but if you hit .111 with a .230 OBP..you better f***ing throw Vlad Guerrero out and make the play and tag the guy out at home...he is really f***ing horrible..maybe the worst player in Sox history.
