    Actually that all depends on what Francona decides to do... Pap said that he would be ready to pitch tonight if need be. He's doing everything he can to get us into the postseason. He has been used less this year than last, so he's probably feeling better than he has in years past.

    Yes I am. Like I said, there's two sides to the story. It could be like you said and she's the one who wants out. That's fine. What they've chosen to do is not my business. I just think it's pretty low to leave your wife or significant other at a time in which they need you the most. Little phrase called "until death do us part" seems to have lost a lot of meaning for people. Not for me. Sometimes people aren't cut out to be with each other and divorce is the best option. But when it comes on the heels of a serious illness, I lose respect for those involved. Felt the same way when that douche Tiki Barber left his wife mid-pregnancy for a 20-something intern. In any case, I've said my piece on Lackey. I wish him well on the mound. Aside from that, I really don't care.

    A death of a child and both sides blaming each other is one thing. Divorcing your wife in the midst of breast cancer is completely different IMO. That said, there's two sides to every story and maybe she decided she wanted out, not the other way around. But given the way Lackey has pitched and acted since he got here, he's not likely to get any sympathy.

    I honestly think Lackey has worn out his welcome big time... we all get that he's going through a ton of s*** with his wife being sick and all, but that doesn't give him carte blanche to act like a f***ing douchebag everytime someone does something or says something he doesn't like. I wish the guy well in his personal life and would love nothing more than for him to pitch well in the playoffs, but he's got to get his s*** in control. And soon.

    This entire stretch of f***ups boils down to one thing... horrible starting pitching. Every single starter has s*** the bed at one point or another. Unbelievable. If the Sox FO does one thing in the off-season, I hope to God it's addressing the starting pitching issues.
