  1. Great inside out swing on that one for sure.
  2. Vaz is great, but that first paragraph may be the most Vazquez thing ever written.
  3. Today, I am falling on my sword. McGuire sucks until he proves otherwise.
  4. Coming out of college, even jacko saw him as being an MLB contributor in the short term. His stuff looked good early on, but he fell apart early and never got it back. He's worse now than he was in college. Only so many bullets in some pitcher's arms.
  5. @RedSoxPlayerDev Congratulations to Eastern League Pitcher of the Week, Shane Drohan! Drohan 2023: 2 GS 11 Innings 11 K 1 BB 0.64 WHIP
  6. Seems like it to me!
  7. Huh? He started for Worcester last week. 6 Innings, 1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 4 K
  8. I'd just keep him up here unless his arm is still having issues. He's clearly too good for AAA and needs to work on being a good MLB pitcher. If this team is really not a playoff contender, Bello being a part of the rotation for better or worse can only be a good thing for the future.
  9. Bello has pitched ONE start. Jeez...
  10. @SoxNotes Rafael Devers leads the AL with 7 HR. Prior to Devers, the last Red Sox player to be leading the AL outright in homers entering play on April 18 was Fred Lynn in 1979 (6). Devers’ AL rankings: 7 HR – 1st 16 RBI – T4th 14 R – T4th .652 SLG – 3rd 11 XBH – 3rd 43 total bases – 3rd
  11. Who were they? What teams were they from?
  12. I can't fault McGuire for Sale being horrible. Has he also told Kluber to throw even slower than last year too?
  13. Only NY tags at the beach on 52 degree days. I did spend Easter Lunch at an Assisted Living facility.
  14. Well, there is no plan for 2b and SS. At least there are RP options to talk about IN THE RELIEF PITCHING THREAD.
  15. Well, we know Story isn't earning his!
  16. This is the correct take. I'm not sure who to replace them with internally though.
  17. 27M cans or roughly 4 olympic sized pools worth of beer to drink. The chicken man can do it.
  18. His metrics are better than Brasier's.
  19. Club option for $20M. He'll be on a one year contract. Chaim loves those! 2025 Vesting Option ($5M deferred to 2040) vests with a Top 10 finish in 2024 Cy Young + healthy 2025 Option Escalator (2023, 2024 Cy Young) $2.5M for 1st $1.5M for 2nd or 3rd $1M for 4th or 5th $500,000 for 6th-10th
  20. RIP. That's so much Miller Lite.
  21. Where would Schwarber have played in 2022? There was no room for him!!!
  22. @tylermilliken_ Dave Bush believes Chris Sale is going to figure it out: “Oh, he’s close. He’s close… in any three-game stretch, you can be really good or really bad. But our work on the side between starts, with the command he’s showing, I’m confident that when he does that right, he’s going to be good.” Send Dave Bush to the Hague for war crimes against this pitching staff.
  23. Why isn't development now just 50% overpaid Tampa guys? It makes no sense to me.
  24. 52 degrees and I get to sit through a Chris Sale '23 start... Where do I sign up?
