  1. @mlbtraderumors Red Sox Outright Jake Faria
  2. Rays in person attendance is piss poor, but their TV ratings are middle of the road. They should be given a stadium in a better location to see if they can sustain a franchise before moving.
  3. Light the notin beacon: @SoxProspects Ryan Fernandez pitched an inning in relief for the Salem Red Sox today working a 1-2-3 fifth inning with two strikeouts. He's working his way back from right elbow inflammation that caused him to miss most of last season's second half.
  4. @SoxNotes Most walk-off RBI, Red Sox since the start of 2021: Alex Verdugo – 4 Franchy Cordero – 1 Rafael Devers – 1 Adam Duvall – 1 J.D. Martinez – 1 Tommy Pham – 1 Rob Refsnyder – 1 Hunter Renfroe – 1 Travis Shaw – 1
  5. @ChrisHenrique The Red Sox will place Yu Chang on the Paternity List. Maybe Arroyo isn't being put on the IL?
  6. No no no... The Law slur is that Dombrowski "depleted the system." That is unallowable.
  7. Miguel Bleis hit a Little League HR today. https://twitter.com/redsoxstats/status/1648725357133012993
  8. @SPChrisHatfield Interesting note in the WooSox game notes: James Paxton will make his next rehab appearance tomorrow, and he will follow an opener. Very curious why that is. Potentially getting him used to entering a game in relief?
  9. Your post was good as well. I didn't remember what exactly they had said about Hamilton on the podcast. I believe Ian mentioned that his EV was up, but that the batted ball profile was still poor.
  10. You just don't like fun.
  11. Not with what his bat looks like right now. Blocks Above Average: Wong: 0 McGuire: 2 Vaz: 3 Framing Runs: Wong: 0 McGuire: 3 Vaz: 1 He's still got some work to do to be a #1 guy.
  12. The fact that they are promoting Valdez who has struggled, but not Hamilton really says A LOT.
  13. Scouting the boxscore doesn't always tell the whole story.
  14. I like Wong. I wish his bat would develop a little more. I'm glad that he's working out behind the plate. He seems like a serviceable backup.
  15. The internal options right now aren't great, for sure. Mata's command has SUCKED. Politi doesn't look ready for MLB. Mosqueda and Sherriff are just replacements for Bleier. Maybe Wyatt Mills had the potential to be better, but that's not likely from his history. The better prospect relief options aren't quite ready.
  16. He's been on the list since the day the initial 40 man dropped. Brasier was the the "hold your nose" guy. Ort was a guy who seemed obvious to sneak through waivers. Hamilton didn't really hit in AA, doesn't have a good glove but great speed. Can't you find speed UTIL guys pretty easily? It's not THAT hot of a commodity.
  17. There is another... @WooSoxUK Alfaro hit streak is now 12 with 18 hits and 10 RBIs
  18. That shows you how much they value David Hamilton.
  19. @tylermilliken_ Enmanuel Valdez has announced on his IG that he’s been called-up to the majors. He’s been off to a slow start this year, but has a .256/.323/.472/.795 with 18 HR in 93 games at AAA. Looks like Arroyo is likely landing on the IL because of his hamstring.
  20. Weak is fine. Just don't use the Keith Law slurs.
  21. Potential change in batters' swing paths too. Ellsbury used to cause a lot of catcher's interferences based on his path and where he stood in the box.
  22. If Casas was the problem with the offense, maybe we'd sit him. The problem also resides with: Kiké 60 wRC+ (98 over last week tho) Arroyo -1 wRC+ Wong 48 wRC+ Yoshida 64 wRC+ (0 for last 20) You can't sit all of them. I see a path forward for Casas, not really for some of the others above.
  23. He's not though. He was closing out the game a few nights ago...
  24. You said "I'm not going to sweat the mop up guys" in the relief pitching thread. This is the place to sweat the mop up guys.
  25. Why don't people just start the next thread right after the win like I do?
