The manager situation had zero to do with it. That myth needs to just go away. Paps doesn't have to deal with a manager. He sits in the bullpen until the 6th or 7th when he'll start stretching. If he's called on, he'll warm up and take the ball from the manager. His only interaction is "go get 'em" from the manager. Why would he care who the manager is? He's a closer and is in his own little world.
It's a rat infested shithole that had concessions closed for a series as it failed a health inspection.
If you're in the area, just see the Dodgers. It's a beautiful stadium.
As for your question, I'd want to go to Tampa so that MVP Jr could see a game with his Nana and go to Epcot after.
I'm going with no.
Boston fans forgave him in 87 and again when he returned in 90. The lazy national media just kept running with it because it's an easy story.
I didn't come to any end all be all conclusion. Just liked what he is saying for now. It was a good start. No matter what I'll give him a few months of games before I really am able to evaluate him.
No, I wasn't sure about Mr Moustache. Those Mets teams turned sour at the end. Most reporters spoke of how intelligent he is and how "he knows it." I figured that he would come out and it would be all about him. That it would be the Bobby Sox not the Red Sox.
He was subdued and respectful. I thought he would think his s*** didn't stink, but he came out and was pashionate and gracious. I ate it up because I'm a sucker.
Certain posters mix up hyperbole and "truthiness." Just trying to figure out where some newer posters are coming from. I've read enough of your posts to follow your POV undercurrent and respect it. I could care less about the comment itself, just need to figure out the accompanying agenda. (I'm also board as I've been at Brigham and Women's for the past two days.)
If the FO gives more than a flying f$&@ about a message board, then they are in the wrong field. I hope they don't give two shits about whatever we say on here.
Baggage is one thing, claiming he was high during an interview is another.
Tito won two WS. He needs a year or two off from managing to recharge and will get another managing job.
Lived in El Segundo. Moved back to MA in June 2010. I miss the weather, The Counter, Wendys Place, and the West Coast breweries. I don't miss the smog, the traffic, and getting tar on my feet everytime I went to the beach.
Glad to be back home.
