  1. Keep doing the Lord's work. Bless your soul...
  2. Holy sheep-dick, the Chicago Sun Times has written a Theo article that is completely mind boggling. There's a picture of Theo walking on water... The week of Easter... WTF?
  3. What's the undercard?
  4. I don't buy into the "wait til the trading deadline" mantra.
  5. I'm talking about making a trade. I don'tthink Gonzalez is an upgrade over what the Sox already have.
  6. It's easier to get a BP arm than an adequate SP. We'll see if the FO makes a move or stays cheap.
  7. Unfortunately, it was implied when you quoted my post.
  8. Also, the point seems irrelevant as I haven't used sports writers as evidence for my thoughts on yhe Sox. Maybe just confusing me with someone else? I'm firmly in the "don't take sports writers' words as gospel" camp. I could care less what Cafardo/Edes/et al has to say. More often than not, they are trying to break stories that don't come to fruition anyway. I don't trust crap that's written solely to sell papers.
  9. Felger is a talking head, not a writer.
  10. According to other posters, worrying about SBF's health is belittling him. I'm just worried about anyone who takes Felger and Mazz seriously. Felger is a professional contrarian (see last year's Bruins) and Mazz is just a yes-man at this point. They don't speak for the majority of fans or even for the majority of the media.
  11. So Melancon isn't good enough for the 7th now? Morales finished the year strong. You'll never have a team of 25 All Stars.
  12. So much for the Melancon feel good story this morning.
  13. Derrick Lowe was an adequate closer. It was scary at times, but adequate. You don't need an all star to get 35 saves.
  14. DK will pitch more in 2012 than 2011 Lackey sucked Jenks is a non-entity Paps was a big loss Wheeler was underwhelming to say the least Scutaro isn't much better than Aviles CC will be better this year Kalish didn't play for Boston last year Bailey was supposedly the replacement for Paps No mention of losing Drew, Tek, or Wake? The only loss was Paps. Closers are overrated.
  15. I liked your first response better.
  16. So what you're saying is that all the rhetoric here for the last 24 hours was just speculation and baseless? I'm shocked.
  17. Running a baseball team isn't thesame as a fantasy roster. Sometimes it's more than just numbers. Beckett and Lackeyclearly had a negative impact on Lester last year.
  18. I was onboard with trading him in the offseason. He'll never have an ERA as low as last year again. Sometimes changing the culture is necessary.
  19. Living in LA, my wife would wonder how people could afford overpriced imported cars, $750K mortgages, eating out 365 days a year, all while making what we did. It's called being up to your ears in debt. It's definitely a different world over there. It's all for show.
  20. What was it that you called me, "dickwad?" Pot meet kettle. I have not belittled anyone. I just think SBF would be happier if he calmed down a bit.
  21. SBF, it's ironic that you've chosen a Red Sox coffin, because this team will put you in the grave if you can't learn to relax a bit. Are there times when it's appropriate to be pissedoff? Of course, but not every single day. Getting pissed off about meaningless s*** is a one way ticket to a heart attack. It's not worth it.
  22. There's a difference between being passionate and crazed. Where's the enjoyment in ALWAYS being pissed off and angry about the Red Sox? Will they win the WS every year? No. Is it possible to enjoy a season if they don't winit all? Yes.
