  1. It's so hard to find one that he fell into their lap last offseason.
  2. Do you want him back for only one year now? You just said "another year or two" a little while ago. Bringing Drew in would only make sense if he had positional flexibility. He doesn't.
  3. You don't have $13M contracts for "depth."
  4. @Sean_McAdam: Lots of intrigue re: Sox rotation now. Trainers conferring, Peavy unsure whether he goes GM 3 or 4 & Doubront suddenly throwing to hitters.
  5. Worst manager ever to be in a WS...
  6. I've been watching Raw the past few weeks. There's some pretty good stuff going on, but I'm still not as into it as I was when WCW was around. I've tried watching TNA a few times, but it's absolute garbage.
  7. He'd be a solid backup in CF though!
  8. Farrell's binkies got him to the WS. They must be pretty good!
  9. In 04, STL let Sox fans get in for free at the end of the game and were apparently very gracious. I have no beef with them yet.
  10. Because only looking at batting negates Gomes' baserunning and defensive advantages.
  11. Huh? What does that have to do with "players need to play to increase their value?" What does this have to do with starting Nava over Gomes?
  12. This makes zero sense.
  13. The bat boy does not affect the game. Be somewhat reasonable here.
  14. Unless Papi is still slumping and Nap stays hot.
  15. During 04, I was working 2-10pm and didn't call out. I even missed most of game 1 to go see Social Distortion. I wouldn't call out everyday, but doing so in a WS clincher should be fine. Don't overthink banging out for a day every now and again. It's not the end of the world.
  16. Per baseball reference, WMB is most similar to Frank Thomas at age 24.
  17. Over and over, he shows how s***** he is.
  18. Buch was done at that point. Thanks extended vacation during the season!
  19. You bring in Doubront? The loss of Andrew Miller has definitely hurt the bullpen.
  20. Huh? “Your heart just drops. As you said, it was like a pop-up. The ball just barely getting over the Monster, in most stadiums that’s probably an out. But here’s it’s a homer and he got the job done. ... That was a crushing blow,” Torii Hunter said. “Just couldn’t get it done. Baseball is a crazy game, a game of failure. We did that. That’s why we’re going home. We failed.” That didn't just barely go over. What a sore loser!
  21. Napoli is already shortless and in boardshorts. Time for bed!
  22. Starting Gomes or not pinch hitting for Vic?
  23. Have to go to twitter to see the clubhouse celebrations.
