  1. 🥾👅
  2. I'd be surprised if they didn't add at 3b AND 1b. It may not be Breggie AND Alonso, but I think they can't run Romy out there at 1b going forward.
  3. That 246 is inclusive of benefits and not just what we are calculating on here when we look at FA lists.
  4. Did he have more value last offseason or now? Hard to say. Most of his metrics seemed to tick down in '25. Teams haven't been knocking down the door for him, so it's likely that he's the guy that is sticking around TBH. I'm not sure teams are really all that concerned about Gold Glove voting.
  5. A full year of Roman Anthony. 😍
  6. They only had Devers for part of the season and made the playoffs without him. Ryan is flat out a better pitcher than Giolito. If they are trading and OFer it is to get something in return. They aren't trading Duran for Ryan.
  7. Redonkulous take TBH.
  8. How is he not an improvement?
  9. I will not stand for this ageism. 🤬
  10. Godbout (top 5) Rivas Aita
  11. Thad Ward went first overall. It was clearly a bad idea to not trade him for something at the very least.
  12. Positional players get picked less and less each year. He doesn't have a huge power profile for 1b and is R/R. He also fell off dramatically after being traded. It's more likely he's not taken. If he is taken, he doesn't make it through the season and is returned.
  13. He wasn't mentioned as he wasn't going to be protected by the Sox. The SoxProspects guys talked about him in their Rule 5 discussions, but I didn't think there was a significant chance the Sox would hold onto him. They clearly didn't want to hold onto him and dealt him instead.
  14. Each field plays very small as if every game is played like it's at Coors. The other problem is that pitchers have less control of their pitches in AZ this time of the year. Pitches with break with go right back into the zone. For guys coming of the IL (Perales and Neely), it's a tall task to just get through an inning at times. Stanley Tucker had a nice stretch. Perales looked good at times. Wish I had seen more out of Garcia. I think that's my only take away TBH. Neely pitches with a lot of fire and should be fun to watch next season.
  15. I like Schwarber. I wish they would have added him before '22. The move just doesn't work with how the roster is currently created and the payroll issues they have.
  16. That's who teams were calling for at the deadline. Maybe it was due to health? I think if teams were calling for Abreu, he would have been gone last offseason.
  17. NYY were 3rd at 304M. TOR was 5th at 255M. I think the argument to be made is that they should at or near the TOR level of 250M+. If they are still below 10th place again, the Sox are no longer a serious franchise.
  18. I don't think DET is scouting via messageboards, Twitter and radio callers. If they are, Breslow could score a coup.
  19. I don't believe Arias is blocked by Mayer as Mayer could 3B/SS and Arias could play SS/2B. Arias won't be ready until late 27 most likely, so there isn't much overlap with Story. If they deal Mayer this offseason, it's one more hole Breslow has to fill and it would probably be with a contract much larger than Mayer's. I think the FO would rather keep Mayer, but who knows.
  20. All reports are that Abreu is the least desired OFer by other teams behind Duran and Rafaela.
  21. The secondaries just need a lot of time to mature. He's only had one year to be a professional and in college he was a one pitch pitcher. If he was in AAA through July, I wouldn't be concerned. Let him get two average secondaries and he'll be fine.
  22. 5 of Ward's HR's were at MiLB stadiums. He had 15 HR's in LAA, but only carried a 666 OPS there (188 BA, 270 OBP, 396 SLG)! Not sure he's going to have a great time in BAL.
  23. Ward has 6.1 less fWAR than Duran over the past 3 years and is a FA after this season. Duran is a better player and controllable for 3 more years.
