  1. Think of all the great Kelly Shoppach talk there was then...
  2. The Grandyman has a -4.3 ARM in LF. Nunez has a positive BSR score for his career, but those wheels aren't that healthy right now. Probably shouldn't have sent him, but it's not the worst decision in the world. So far, Febles' 3b coaching stint is probably getting the "Carlos Feebles" nickname in the SBF household.
  3. Look, I get it. However, d-money and Station are both vital to our Game Thread culture.
  4. I heard Russian bots were used to increase your post totals. It's what the smart people are saying.
  5. A700? We all know he's not the true king.
  6. @ClearTheBases From today's #RedSox media notes: "Red Sox rank 1st in the majors in win % (.773, 17-5), run differential (+63), and fielding % (.994)...Also ranks 3rd in runs per game (5.77) and is tied for 2nd in ERA (2.80)." But they haven't won since last Friday!
  7. I thought randomness of baseball had to do with Angel Hernandez's strikezone?
  8. @PeteAbe #RedSox have 14 outs on the bases, tops in MLB. Five at the plate, which is second. Still a small sample, but same issue as last season.
  9. Just a little bit of bad luck for the Sockers. They'll be fine.
  10. JBJ is struggling with an OPS of 679, but his BABIP is only 250. He'll come around.
  11. Paws and Sox don't approve of this joke. They are much too serious for that nonsense. http://www.milb.com/content/page.jsp?sid=t533&ymd=20080904&content_id=454258&vkey=team3
  12. From Sox Prospects: Jalen Beeks hasn't allowed an earned run in 13-consecutive innings and picked up his first win of the season with the PawSox in a 6-0 victory over the Stripers on Saturday. The 12th round draft pick in 2014 lowered his ERA to 0.64. Beeks continues to ride a hot hand for the PawSox, notching his first win in three starts this season. Beeks has punched out 26 batters, and has issued just five walks this season, good for an average of 16.71 strikeouts per nine innnings.
  13. Playing for PAW tonight.
  14. Leon is a nobody. I believe we got him off waivers. He's replaceable. I agree that Swihart needs a shot. I think this should happen when Pedey comes back, but Swihart isn't catching at all. Maybe he's just horrid defensively?
  15. Maybe he'll get a good break on Porcello passed balls? He's got a good arm too. Maybe Cora is up to something here!
  16. I love too believe that Shaw will have a .400 OBP at year end.
  17. I believe that's the King Missle fan club.
  18. He was in the batting cage working with JBJ to get him out of his funk. Porcello was throwing to him. Duh...
  19. Why are they resting Moreland??? COULDN'T THAT 1.013 OPS HELP THIS TEAM NOT LOSE THREE IN A ROW?!?!?! WHY IS TZU WEI LIN ALREADY IN THE DOGHOUSE HE'S THE MUCH BETTER FIELDING SS?!?!? FURTHERMORE, WHY DO THEY HAVE 2 PLAYERS PLAYING CATCHER? DON'T THEY NEED A CF TOO? WTF? DFA CORA!
  20. Pedey isn't in the 2018 team photo. Run him out of town.
  21. I think caring about strikeouts and caring about wins are completely different things. Strikeouts have legitimate value as they prevent the batter from putting a ball in play. Wins, saves and holds are basically meaningless.
